Burnley have accepted a £7m bid for Jay Rodriguez from Southampton..

Seems pricey . . lots of teams interested for a few years finally one has bitten the bullet.

That's quite a windfall for Burnley. Wonder how much the manager will get to spend.

Meopham, Kent.
Whathisname, ex-Donny striker ... I wonder if he fancies a move along the coast, as he could get pushed right out of the picture now.

Really? 'J Rod' to Saints has been rumoured for MONTHS, so its immediately what I read this as.

Nobody refers to Vicente as Rodriguez anyway, do they?

Didn't even realise people would think I meant Vicente.
Would take Billy Sharp, useful championship striker. Reckon he's bitter about Dunk's tackle first game of the season?

Yes, a little J infront would have been the answer. Some commentators have called him Rodriguez yes. And he has been 'rumoured' to Saints before himself.

Incredible amount of money for him. Southampton will have spent 12 million on strikers in 6 months !!!

I read it as 'Jay Rodriguez to Spurs' and thought 'huh, ssn were saying earlier that southampton are after him'

The idea of Vicente going to saints didn't cross my mind, not even when I read sheebo's reply, I had to read your reply twice to get that was why sheebo's heart skipped a beat.

Much like £3 million for CMS...

Would admit that 3 million was too much, should of been closer to 1.5 or 2. But £7 million is alot if he flops.
Personally think he is a very good player and will be good to watch him in the premiership. Young english strikers are always valued highly for some reason.

EDIT:- How much do you think Jordan Rhodes would sell for? Similar position to CMS probably sell for a similar price.
