If he doesn't start next week instead of Cox then I will dispair of Mickey Adams.

gave the ball away far too much with sloppy passes once he was introduced

still, on todays performance he is definitely worth starting next week, unless adams finally sees the light and gets an entirely new midfield in on loan

What does MA see in Cox (apart from the inability to beat the first man with any cross or corner he delivers)?

I've read some stupid things on here but this just about takes the crown for the most stupid of all. Robinson demonstrated again today, as he has done game after game for the last few years, that he isn't up to it. True COx didn't have a great game, and Robinson did score, but really. Are you serious?

I also agree that it's time to give Jakey a proper run out in the team...and by that I mean at least 5 games. At least he has the pace to run at defenders and frighten them. Cox is way way off his best and should be dropped for a month at least. He reminds me of a crab - always goes sideways - and is about as threatening as a blamange.

For a right footed player, Cox is strangely out of place on the right wing. He looks more productive on the left IMO...

I didn't think Cox was our worst player today, far from it. In fact it was he who crossed for Jakey to score.

I like Jakey a lot. I would stick him upfront next week with Forster, and teach Murray a lesson...If you want to play for this club, then f***ing PLAY for your shirt.

Entirely agree, although funnily enough I thought Cox looked the most likely to create something of any of our midfielders, forced an excellent save with a header in the first half and had another good effort charged down in the second.

Jakey should have scored with his first touch, shooting straight at the keeper after Forster had had an effort parried and then did the same with the follow up. If he is to serve a purpose on the wing he has to be prepared to take on players (he didn't and too often looked for the pass instead of beating his man) and deliver a final product (too many wasted balls, as ever). He scored but didn't do a lot else.

Well I'm not going to slag off Coxy, in fact I thought he did OK today. He was just about the only player to continue giving 100% while everyone else was letting their heads drop.

Why? Jake has ALWAYS played better as a substitute. A bit like CKR. If we play him, then we should play 4-3-3. I mean, we are incapable of playing 4 in the middle so lets not bother and put them upfront!

A couple of seasons ago Jake had so much promise, he looked confident playing up front, hopefully he will get that back with a run in the team. Cox however is f***ing dire.

Correct. Jakey had scored 12 by christmas a couple of years ago. Give him a chance up front alongside Forster and Murray in a 4-3-3 formation and see how it goes. It couldn't possibly be worse than today.

Jakey is a natural striker played on the wing
Him and forster up front wouldnt be to bad ,Jakeys quick and knows how to beat a defender and is not scared to hit a ball from distance

We tried that for the last 20 or so minutes and it seemed to open up are defense too much, so i don't think thats going to work unless we slot jake or kev just behind the strikers in an attacking midfielders role.
