Jakey is a natural striker played on the wing
Him and forster up front wouldnt be to bad ,Jakeys quick and knows how to beat a defender and is not scared to hit a ball from distance

If he knows how to beat defenders in the middle, why can't he do it on the wing? He never gets around the defender and puts in a cross, at best sometimes wins a corner.

Cox will never, ever be a good enough winger. He hasn't got the pace to beat a man, and he hasn't got the natural flair to rely on instead. Get him in the middle, and you might just find he's the answer to the creativity problem.

Couldn't agree more.

Remember him cracking in a few shots in the championship hitting the bar against Derby and/or Southampton I think. He certainly can strike it. Just needs a chance in the team.

He has had 5 years of chances. He had potential but never fulfilled it.

If he's not released when his contract is up then I'll f***ing despair.

Couldn't agree more, again.

I've read some stupid things on here but this just about takes the crown for the most stupid of all. Robinson demonstrated again today, as he has done game after game for the last few years, that he isn't up to it. True COx didn't have a great game, and Robinson did score, but really. Are you serious?

Couldn't agree more, yet again. Cox is not at the top of his form but when he is, he is far more effectual for the team than Robinson. Yes, he did score yesterday but that is all he did.

Why? Jake has ALWAYS played better as a substitute. A bit like CKR. If we play him, then we should play 4-3-3. I mean, we are incapable of playing 4 in the middle so lets not bother and put them upfront!

Jake is a good substitute, it only goes pear shaped when he is brought on!!

Correct. Jakey had scored 12 by christmas a couple of years ago. Give him a chance up front alongside Forster and Murray in a 4-3-3 formation and see how it goes. It couldn't possibly be worse than today.

You're right, 12 goals before xmas and bugger all after. Over half of those 12 were scored in the JPT or against Non-league teams in the FA Cup. He has never cut the mustard in any of the league seasons he has played.

It's a crying shame the amount of people who consider him to be the new messiah when ever he comes on and then think that just because he scored one goal they are justified. Priceless.
