He could turn out to be a decent player to be fair, he certain has bags of talent and if he could learn not to bottle challenges he would be in our midfield.

He could. Then again, he could carry on being weak, continue to bottle tackles and very rarely contribute to a game

then again you could be a striker moved to right midfield and then only get 15 mins here 20 mins their and still be given stick.

Seems you have made your choice

Either one, midfield/striker I don't rate him, even if he plays a whole game. He's been given many chances and you know he has.

Can't agree with that.
I've seen opposing players baffled by some of his play and whilst they've been kept busy by him other players have sneaked into an attacking position...trouble is it doesn't often result in anything but give him time. I think he's useful and will grow stronger. Hope he does well and that you don't sprout male genitalia.

He could your quite right. No need to right him off permanently though. Surely you can see he is very talanted? Just cant quite cope with physical side of the game.

And not just the opposing players! I have frequently been bewildered by some of his play :lolol:

He has the chance to show a new manager what he can do, but I do agree that he'll be on his way unless he takes that chance

You're hard to impress! I honestly think he is one of the more talented players in our side.

No, just not easily impressed

That's fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion, personally I don't think he's that good. The point I'm making is we've got a lot of half decent players like Robinson, Loft, Fraser, El-Abd, Fogden, etc, that I just don't are good enough, and they do a couple of good things and everybody thinks fantastic!

I agree with you on the rest. El-Abd being the one who has got rave reviewes after being merely competent for 15 games, compared to the 15 before when he was awful.

The trouble with JR is that he is a player with potential. Unfortunately, he has been that for 5 years and developed very little in that time. Also, I am just getting up of the floor having fallen there just after reading the comment that he 'baffles the opposing players'. He has had too many chances and has been overtaken by a long way by Cox and, with the arrival of a left winger, I would expect cox to switch to his more natural right which puts JR further down the pecking order. If he has any sense of ambition, his agent should be trying to fix him up with another club as I can only see him being a bit player at the Albion. As for him developing into the best midfielder we have ever had, he is nowhere near that level and you have to ask how much time, if any, should we give a player?

Yes, but one of the first players Adams brought in last time was ... Paul Brooker.

I was just thinking the same, if MA can give him a run and boost his confidence he can be just as good an attribute as Brooker was. If you are looking for him to make crunching tackles forget it, but he is gonna have to learn to take them and not chicken out when running at players. If he continues to do that he'll be on his bike imo. He definitely has the skills but does he have the bottle, he won't have too many opportunities if he doesn't show more appetite over a number of full games.

He'll have the same chance as every other player I would imagine.
Play football, be of value in your position, and you'll thrive.

Don't forget Adams played Oatway, Jones, Mayo, Steele etc, and they were hardly going to walk past oppositions every week. Stepovers and living off Zamora's table-scraps didn't make any of them superstars exactly.

The Lab.
I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the future of Robinson with Adams at helm. I think Jake could be a very good player and is when he has lots of confidence. I remember standing near the dugouts against Forest and Calderwood remarking to Butters (who was a sub) that JR was a real threat and a great player. What do people think? Now that we seem to have our wings covered and are in for a physical striker, I fear the end may be near for the 'south coast rooney'...

I Think your CRAZY I mean really loony. You should be sectioned.:bounce:

It's a shame Robinson hasn't yet displayed consistently for lengthy periods.

When he was a youngster breaking into the team I really believed he was going to be a great player in the making.

Maybe he is a player who will benefit from being with a new team?
