A few years ago we had a similar promising youngster called David Gipp. There was prolonged clamour for him to be in the first team, but he disappeared into obscurity.
On the other hand, Peter Ward made it big time.
David Gipp! Showing your age there uncle C. Those of us who used to go and watch the reserves (nearly 5000 against Arsenal - nearly as many as Withdean now) used to quite like him, though not as much as Ian Muir who failed to make the breakthrough so went to become Tranmere's record scorer instead.
Don't know what happened to Gipp. Or Franco Massimo!
