The free state of Kemp Town
At least he knows where the goal is.

Admittedly he has been playing at a much lower level, but he has been getting goals and that's what it's all about.

Look at Jon Stead when he moved from Huddersfield to Blackburn.

Whereas McCammon hadn't scored a goal all season before he came to Brighton so he was hardly likely to suddenly come in and start banging them in.

I don't want to tempt fate but I think there's a lot to be sadi for giving Jake a proper go.

Mind you, I also want to see Molango given a go. At the moment, he couldn't be any worse than what we've got

Jake flying back to Seagulls
Albion crisis means recall to Withdean

Jake Robinson: Four goals for the Shots, but he is on his way back to Brighton.

On-loan striker Jake Robinson is expected to return to Brighton & Hove Albion this week after Seagulls manager Mark McGhee and Shots boss Terry Brown verbally agreed to his recall.

On Tuesday night Albion went down 3-0 at Preston North End - their sixth straight defeat - and striker Gary Hart was sent off. To compound the misery, the Seagulls slipped into the bottom three with games running out. Robinson's recall started to look academic and surely enough the call came on Wednesday morning.

Although the formalities of the paperwork are yet to be concluded at the time of writing, it is a done deal and Robinson is likely to be named in Albion's squad to face Leicester City on Saturday. Everyone at Aldershot Town would like to thank Jake for his excellent contribution at the club and wishes him every success in his return to the South Coast.

Good, Good, who do you reacon will be up front then,

Mcgamman,
McPhee,
Robinson,
Molango,
Virgo.

I think Mcgammon and jakey start with Mcphee/Molango on the bench and virgo back in defence to see if we can stop leaking goals.

I would go with Robinson/McCammon up front with Virgo in defence.

I choose Robinson ahead of Malongo simply because he has been playing competitive football for the last month so must surely be more sharp than Malongo, not to mention match fitness.

Agree with you, although I'm worried that JR is going to be completely anonymous because so many of us are pinning our hopes on him!

Think he may be used as a bench player.....McGhee commented on how light he thought the bench has been recently.

Id give him a start but rather have him on the bench than playing for aldershot

The stage is set...

Recalled from exile, Jake is sent on with five minutes remaining of a dour 0-0 with Leicester and...

:goal:

Nets the winner, following up with a brace at Burnley to guide us to safety. Everyone rejoices, he is a hero of the city.

And then is sold to Reading.

Wouldnt be suprised if it was Molango and MacCammon upfront with Jakey coming on as a late subsitute

Please NOT a starting line-up with Molango - who on last viewing at Lewes is a more clueless more lightweight version of MacCammon. Jakey might be small, but he's the only natural born footballer out of the three of them

I don't understand why him being a bit lightweight is going to mean he can't score goals. There are loads of lightweight players who have scored, and the kid has got class written all over him. Virgs & Robinson - both Brighton born & both going to score on Saturday
