Watching arsenal now we can't play this kid Vs saka or martinelli. Would be cruel. Hopefully ferdi in soon.
He played against Martinelli and then Trossard for an hour at Arsenal last December, coming on as a first half sub for Veltman three days after playing most of the game against Marseille that saw us finish top of our group. We lost 2-0 at Arsenal, but he was not out of his depth.

Some people night benefit from watchjng the game again like I just have. Hinshelwood was the reason we scored the first goal. He attacked the far post from the initial cross, totally baffling United’s defence. The reason Welbeck was completely unmarked.

Second half, he was ahead of Mitoma a lot of the time. Clearly fulfilling a role he was assigned to take on.

It's possible we'll bring Ferdi in, but it's a tough first assignment.

My guess is that Ferdi will get 20 mins at the end of the Crawley game and similar at the end of the Arsenal game.

Hinsh to start both
Of course, its possible that Pervis will be back.

If I reach middle age and my main hobby is saying controversial things on a football message board for attention then I’m booking a one way flight to Switzerland and visiting Dignitas.
Pretty sure "controversial" would imply you could find somebody to agree with you.

"Willfully idiotic" is probably the closest (and politest) way of putting it.

I don't think he starts against Crawley.
I can see it both ways.

The way I see it, if he's going to be playing left back, even if just for the Arsenal game, he needs as much practice in the position as he can get

Will be interesting to see whether they play him at full back (i'm assuming) or midfield.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I like Jack and think he’s a great player but he’s never really been given games in what we think to be his preferred position in midfield.

I do kind of wonder what his best position is now? It’s a worry to me that he’s almost becoming a default full back which isn’t his best, and not playing or developing as a midfielder. Still he’s only 19 and there’s easily time to change that.

I sincerely believe he will have a Senior Cap by the end of the season.
Agree. If he can stay fit and not play too much left back, I think so to.

Potter is likely to take over England in October and Jack looks like a very Potter-compatible player to me.
