Every candidate that the dems put forward is always accused of being 'radical left' or 'socialist'.

America's definition of 'socialist' and 'radical left' and the rest of the world's are two completely different things. Trump and his Republican predecessors always throw those comments into the ring because they know it pushes the buttons of a large part of the electorate. I would like to have seen Bernie Sanders run but that was never going to happen for those reasons - at least there would have been a bit more fire and passion in his speeches than you will get with sleepy Joe

He did run and the Democratic machine in 2016 stole the nomination. And he ran again in 2020 and Democratic primary voters rejected him.

He is one of the few here who seem to authentically believe in something and for that I highly admire him. I disagree with him but that's what it's supposed to be about isn't it?

This country desperately needs leadership and a media that will expose the hypocrisy, lies and corruption on both sides. Trump was the populist who was going to shake it all up and drain the swamp. It looks like he will be the one down the plug hole in 3 weeks. What comes next is 47 years of the same b&llshit.

I know he ran, I meant that I'd like him to have been the person running again Trump - but as I said that was never going to happen in the US as it is today

Yeah, I would have liked to seen Bernie too. Whether he would have won or not is impossible to say.
