Lansbury is one of the Arsenal loanees who GENUINELY has a chance of making it there. Very very good young english player who can play anywhere across the middle or behind the front two. Again, completely clutching at staws here, but if I was Wenger I would look at Albion, look at Gus and his style of play and look at a MASSIVE pitch at the Amex and think "my player is going to improve there".

Him, Sczensy and Wilshire are the only players loaned out in the last couple of seasons who actually have a future there. The others are those typical loans where they will eventually leave. Players such as Emmanual-Thomas, Afobe, Eastmond, even Vela to some extent are just being loaned out with everyone knowing they wont make it.

Wouldn't be suprised if we were in for Cork, but were we not sniffing around a young Chelsea Midfielder before we signed up Bridcutt?

This is true.

He had an amazing season at Norwich and he’s already a Premiership player tbh. Saying that Gus looks after loanees better than any manager I know and our Chairman has serious funds. Maybe a deal could be struck?

It would no doubt be a massive, massive signing for us if we did manage it.

Emmanual-Thomas and Eastmond Error, i think they both have a chance, espescially eastmond, i would take both of these on loan.

Also got this,

Well, it’s not completely out of the realms of possibility. Only way I can see it happening is:

• We do actually spunk the cash this summer, therefore leading to us loaning out lots of younger players just to give them some playing time
• Lansbury doesn’t feature much for the first half of the season and we loan you him after Jan to help with your promotion push

Arsenal have a clear plan with their players on loan. Rarely do they go back to a lower league after being loaned there. Recent examples: Jay Simpson (loan to Millwall league one, then loaned to WBA Prem), Wilshere (loaned to Bolton comes back to our first team), Szczesny (loaned to Brentford league one comes back to our first team), Vela (two loans in Spain, then loan to WBA prem). Clear factor is the progression; each season has to be a step up. Not sure Wenger and the coaching staff will see Lansbury playing for a newly promoted side in the championship as progress after helping Norwich achieve promotion to the top flight.

If they somehow break this formula (Mark Randall, Gavin Hoyte etc) then the writing is usually on the wall and means they will not make it at Arsenal. Lansbury looks too good for that.

Saints and Blackpool have had a bid of 750k accepted apprently, well in our price range. Swansea may also be in for him, with Brendan Rodgers being his ex coach at the Chelsea Reserves, he wlll probably end up there.

lets also hope that the draw of being managed by an ex chelsea midfield legend is bigger than by an ex scunthorpe physio

I've loved Jack Cork for a few years now, since he first made a break at Burnley, i really rate him and if we could pull it off then i will be a very happy chap. And Lansbury would be nice too! :)

Cork would be vaguely realistic if paid big for him and big wage and made captain material etc. With Poyet connections to get him here not the bigger Champ teams.

Lansbury is surely mid level Prem standard already?

Have to say that I think Lansbury should be playing in the Prem next season and although I think Cork might have another season in the Championship I can't see it being with us - Burnley favourites to sign him surely, with Saints second favourites.

Both would be great signings ... just need a decent striker to go with them, I hear Didier is looking for something else

On what basis? Some team from a shit northern mill town, and a bunch of losers who could only make second place behind us... mmm.. you don't have much confidence in our ability to get the players we want now we have a top manager and Falmer do you?

clearly a bad fan but it seemed not to be beyond the realms of fantasy based on the northern side being one he said he was happy at and would be interested in re-joining whilst he previously had a successful loan spell with the bunch of southern losers

I've heard that Cork is talking with cortese this weekend about a move. I personally think we're in a great position to sign him, he has expereince of working with Adkins and Crosby as well as a loan stint with us a couple of years back. Plus he speaks favourably in this interview:

TheFA.com - Jack Cork speaks to TheFA.com ahead of England U21s v Norway

Before you start shooting me down saying it's made up, I have this information from one of my clients who operates in a senior position at st marys and he generally gives me snippets of information. The other of note was that we are looking into signing Billy Sharpe, however no offer has been made as the talent identifiation team are looking for other prospective targets.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Wenger will want Lansbury to go on loan within the Premier League.
