Yes, but are there better options to buy? I think you'll find Gus is on my side on this one BTW...

I have no doubt that Gus would rather buy players.

But I also know that Gus signed Lua Lua and Wood on loan and they were fantastic in getting us promoted.

Not for one moment would I suggest doing a Micky Adams and filling our team with loans But Norwich demonstrated to perfection what getting in loan players can achieve, one of which being Lansbury.

Arsenal won't sell him. That shouldn't mean loaning him would be a failure. It would be FANTASTIC.

Last time i checked we are a Championship club....the same as Burnley and Norwich(when they've signed these players)

I have no idea what your point is.

Okay-
Cork has played 50 times for Burnley, and has stated his desire to rejoin them, they've mad a bid for him as have another former club, Southampton, and Blackpool.
Lansbury was one of Norwich's best players in the the second half of the season and has stated his intention to stay at Arsenal.

Why, then, would these players join us?
Your point is totally irrelevant- yes, we are a Championship team, and if we were a year ago we might have had a chance of signing them, but now it would be a step backwards for both of them.

Surely we haven't got a chance of getting either of these two when clubs like Leeds and Forest want them?

If managers like Wenger know that their players are gonna be coached in the right way, there is absolutely no reason, wages apart, that we shouldn't be competing with any of the other teams in the Championship. Getting their young players playing regularly in a team that plays like us would suit the top teams down to the ground wouldn't it and it's the manager who decides to whom he'll loan his players.

Cork has been at Chelase since 2006 and has been loaned out every season. They obviously see something there, but we're talking about Chelsea, is he good enough for Chelsea at the moment NO, will he be after another season long loan PROBABLY NOT. His standard is probably top championship player, much in my oppinion like Lansbury. Not saying they wont get better and become premiership quality because no doubt both will.

Why would they not see, moving into a brand new state of the art stadium, with a beautiful playing surface, playing in front of 20,000+ every week with a footballing manager like Gus be an attractive option. I think there is more chance of getting Cork on a permanent rather than Lansbury (who out of the 2 is probably a better prospect) but certainly possibilities on loan.

Maybe im getting ahead of myself but the way we played last season and the new stadium makes us a pretty attractive propect to most outside the premiership. I cant see Cork getting a lower premier league offer and Lansbury in my eyes is 50/50 to get a similar offer in the prem so is dependant on whether Wenger decides he is in his 1st team plans. That then leaves Championship sides, so why not us??? Too many being too negative about our chances of signing these sorts of players, and these are the calibre of player we need to be going for if we are to really compete next year.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Its all about the coin, many many championship teams in my opinion will be able to offer far more cash than we can.
That will always be the deciding factor unless offers are similar

I think you are, Cork has had a bid accepted from Saints and Blackpool, he has played on loan at Saints and they have an even bigger stadium and have been a prem club. He wants to go to Burnley, but they probably cannot afford it, so Stains will likely get him.

As for Lansbury, Wenger loans out players for experience, but they rarely ever go back to the same league if he rates them..... if he doesn't they're let go, but he clearly does rate lansbury.

He loaned him last year to a championship club, he excelled, for Lansburys progression to make the Arsenal first team squad, another year in a newly promoted League 1 club is not progression and doesn't serve Arsenals interests.

Wenger does these things in a claculated way to build the players exeprience levels ever upwards.
