"chris iwelumo is keen to re-sign for th albion despite fierce competition for his services,
two other 1st division clubs and a cluster of division 2 teams are intrested in the former stoke striker who has been offered a new 2 year deal by the seagulls"

i'v got to say although i think some of the abuse he has recived has been a little unfair im slightly suprised there's fierce competition for his services?

we have to hold on to him . mcghee wants another striker aswell and i expect he will be more pacey. i reckon if we turn into mcghees idea of a passing team then big chris willstart to show his best. he cant be expected to be brilliant if we keep wacking balls at his face and expect him to always produce. in divison 2 you hoof it. in division 1 we HAVE to play it on the floor and get it out wide for brooker(yes he WILL come back) to cross it for iwelumo in the box. ;) ive got it all sorted you see

If he had a clue where he was directing his headers Leon might get some service

How exactly do you expect Iwelumo to show his best as part of a passing team? His strength is in the air, not on the ground, as he does not have the best touch in the world and limited pace.

Who won the penalty at Cardiff with a run from the wing just passed the half way line?

exactly! thankyou

he has very good control on the floor but people dont see this because people think because he is tall he can only head it. thats rubbish. he is good on the ground and not to slow either! good shot(remember his debut!?) so i cant wait to see him in a proper footballing side...and yes i do mean the albion believe it or not

People always assume big strikers are good in the air and it's not always the case! Big Chris hasn't played at his best yet but will do better if we play the ball on the ground more and put in decent crosses!

fantastic run yes but just passed the half way line ur having a laugh 007 it was level with the penalty area!!

but that run showed wat he was capable of and if he can use his power like that on a regular basis and improve his flicks a bit would be a useful player but he needs to find that bit extra for me

No, having checked the video he picked the ball up 20-25 yards from the half-way line, ran to the box, passed to knight, who flicked it back and was hacked down!!!

Im happy for Chris to stay as long as we do get another striker.

I think that everyone having a go at him is way off mark. He was also Stokes top scorer the season they stayed up and we went down!!! I think he also won their player of the season.

I agree with Titanic it's 'agentspeak' They said 1st and 2nd divison clubs because saying 'Real Madrid and Chelsea' was probably stretching credibilty a bit too far.

my god the bloke done ONE good run, name another? no did'nt think so!
His touch is awful, he cant take players on and always looses the ball, with the 1 in 100 chance of skanking his way through somehow!

Keep him though for now as he may become useful at some point but I want a new striker to partner Leon

Thats because the only vision we have is of Roberts punting the ball up to his head! Give the guy a chance with the ball on the deck and then we can judge him properly, until that happens yeah his control is crap.

yer he was stoke's top goal scorer but he scored a fantastic 7 of which only 4 were in the league

but im also happy for him to stay as long as we bring in an extra striker and agree a lot of the stick he gets is over the top
