The ENT site is easy to spot as was replaced by a long, skinny, building. Turn up the hill from Queens Rd and it's on your left. There's little else on that side, before you get to St Nicks.

As for so few knowing the answers. maybe it's because some have you on their 'ignore' list, which is a shame as they miss the few gems among your mainly crass posts.

Not a dig, although you'll probably take it as such, merely an observation.

Not at all fred!!! You are one of my favourite posters in fact I could read some of your trips down memory lane all day

Hey, i am touched!

Seeing as i am off work this week, and can't be arsed to go to 'boiro, maybe I'll have to recall some of those happy times at London Road.

Answer given so far except 4 and 5 are right the trouble is there are far to many Brighton wannabees on here who no nothing really about the Albion or Brighton and Hove history to make it worthwhile and fun.

Shame really !!!!!

HB&B

Are you also a Brighton wannabee?

What was the outrage around Brighton in the 1800's which involved a cart!

Is this the incident involving two soldiers from the Oxford Militia, condemned to be shot, who were paraded through the streets to Goldstone Bottom in a cart?

LB

I am sure your answer is correct.

But that was not the answer I was referring to.
Mine involved a workhouse???

3) Where was the old Ear Nose and Throat Hospital?

My Mum used to work in the EN&T Hospital for quite a few years, late 60s / early 70s, I remember it well, we lived in Alexandre Villas then (opposite the childrens hospital in Dyke Road)

She used to do all the specialist meals for the patients, good job but silly hours.
