And what's your point?

i just think that 'Americanisms' are part of British society and i dont see why people have such a big problem with us adopting part of someone elses' culture, fair enough proms are a little wierd but it just seems some people want to leave our society in one way forever when obviously it changes, or they take the good parts and label the bits they dont like as Americanisms to try and seperate them out of their culture. just seems a little bitweird to me.

and go to your prom with a marching band, or cheerleaders (GULLYS GIRLS!!) as you walk in the centre.

Some people just have an anti-American attitude because they feel inadequate and threatened. They don't appreciate that everything they are is a mixture of cultures from all over.

Its the only choice

Take a morality bus, fill the tank with mercy and ask the man that never offers to drive, take it along the right road not the quickest.pull into the car park of humility and enter unseen to the shadowy corner. Stay for just a few short moments then slip out and leave that bus and driver waiting and simply walk home alone and content.

Bollocks. It's a school disco, it's got nothing to do with being anti-American. I'd quite happily roger the female cast of High School Musical at their PROM at East High, but if they ever came to Longhill (and I was 20 years younger) and fancied a fumble - it would be a bleedin' SCHOOL DISCO. Just like tomato isn't Tooomaaaeto.
