Just sneak enough booze in and cause a massive fight so the school refuse to organise it in future. Happened in my school, so ,y one was organised by pupils; a few teachers turned up (locked drunk) towards the end but they weren't there to control anything... wasn't called a "Prom" either though, we're not yanks. Debs ball.

90% of people just took the bus included in the ticket price to mine; let you pre-load on cheaper booze than the hotel/venue sells

My secondary school 'prom' was really just a disco, and most people only went because it was the only way we could go to alton towers.

My college 'prom' was more of a prom and a bunch of friends and I clubbed together to rent a limo for the evening and everyone came back to mine and the following day we had a bbq.

Sorry, this is the UK. A country where Proms means crowds of embarrassing, swaying junior toffs holding Union Jacks and pretending to conduct an orchestra in the Albert Hall.

Any teachers who think it's their job to organise some pathetic attempt at aping plastic American culture would do better to go and live there instead.

if you dont want kids to be exposed to Americanism, then you cant let them watch TV, eat any fas food, take away disney, pixar etc. youd effectivly leave kids with blue peter and a cup with a ball!!
