Wouldn't it be better to start singing Stand up if you are a whinger.....you will be able to see the buggers more clearly that way:thumbsup:

Wouldn't work because they never bloody-well get off their arse. Love that idea though, I sit in G block so will defo stand up.

Herman, I don't think that NSC is trying to tell people how to support the team but what it is doing is airing its collective frustration at the number of people who go along to Withdean and just seem to moan constantly throughout the game or shout abuse at the players. How easy would it be to turn those words of abuse into words of encouragement, or boos into cheers, I would love to be at Withdean today as I reckon the atmosphere could be interesting...that is to say there will be NSCers trying to back the team with greater vigour than normal and encourage others to do likewise...if you take that as telling people how to support the team, fine, I call it voicing support...isn't that what we all purport to be...supporters! (who if asked would say that they were a Brighton whinger, rather than a fan or supporter?).

I 100% Support the team, players & management of this club, I do not at any time get on the players backs. That does not mean I want withdean to stop being a football ground with proper supporters with different views. If we as albion fans could be bothered to create an atmosphere, nobody would be happier. The fact is we don't.

People can whinge all they want - it's their right, they have paid, and no-one should have to tell anyone how to support the club.

However, 'whinging' is a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy - The more you whinge, the worse the effect it has on the players, the worse they will play, and the more justification some feel they have to whinge, and so on.

So, next time anyone 'whinges', just consider this - it could be that you are playing a (small) part in accelerating your club's downfall.

Putting it in very simple terms, I have always found that gentle encouragement achieves far better results than beration...although there are times when someone has to be disciplined if their performance is substandard, I am happy to leave that to Dean and the coaching staff, my role in the club is as a supporter (note the word supporter, to me that means backing the team and encouraging the players, nothing more or less).

There ARE going to be misplaced passes.
There ARE going to be moves that come to nothing.
There ARE going to be overhit through balls.
There ARE going to be chances that fall to Oldham.
There ARE going to be Albion players losing the ball or getting tackled or caught in possession or passing backwards or giving away free kicks.

Get OVER it, and get behind The ALBION.

ffs.

Not allowed too the stewards stop it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get OVER it, and get behind The ALBION.

Agreed.

Not sure what home fans expect, only 3 games without points:

7th game, Yeovil, who were 5th, 1-2
12th game, Leeds, who were 1st (without deduction) by a country mile, 0-1; Leeds had been scoring an average of all but 2 goals for per game so far.
18th game, Forest, who were 3rd, 0-2

You are right of course - I was just looking at League games.

I only get to away games, all League this season, and I watch a team that seems to have no connection with that that is booed at Withdean.

At least this season the booing hasn't started before the game, as last year.

THREE GAMES AHHHHHHH In that case Wilkins must go , el abdrichardskuipersfraserwhingbutterselphickcoxrobinsonwilkinswilkinsknighttheboardthestewardsthegroundwilkinswithdenethereflino. The should all move on.

I pay my season ticket so therefore I expect entertainment of the quality you would receive at the Nou camp. I mean when I go to Pizza Express I demand the best they have as I would get at any 5 star establishment. They know me well at Pizza express, I still think the chocolate mousse tastes a little earthy and the mayo dip a little salty but they take my criticsm in good humour.

Thanks to my veiled threat, I am pleased to say that in F block there was no sustained abuse (the odd groan is perfectly acceptable) of our beloved Albion and the club have thanked me in person for the part I played in securing y'day's superb win. :lolol: I am thinking of taking on the E block whingers for the Orient game as my campaign to "Kick Moaning Out of Withdean" gather's pace.

Well done everyone, see what we can achieve when we get behind the team? Roll on Saturday!

i sit in f block and some of the crap we had to listen to on tuesday was awful - we had the usual idiots slagging the team the dugout - and to top it off we had 2 stupid little girls sitting near us going on about oh looks at his legs oh look at his hair and after 45 mins of that from them we could have screamed - i felt like telling them to f*** off down the youth club - What we need to do is go and support dean and all the team - the constant critiscing and booing and adams in and dean out is very unnecessary - how is that going to help anyone on and off the pitch - I certainly don't want to listen to whingers all afternoon - some people keep saying that they haven't paid to what "shit" as they put it but i don't pay to listen to " their shit " all afternoon

Thing is when we had terraces if you encountered this sort of bollocks you could just move away. Nowadays with numbered seat tickets, unless you are lucky or the stewards are flexible, you're lumbered!!

Serial whingers (those who spend almost the entire match moaning) in my experience are people who lack any talent for anything and therefore pay good money to belittle those who do have talent in order to make them feel better about themselves. They are very different people to those who get frustrated to the point of shouting their displeasure now an then. Unfortunately in the semi-silence of Withdean the serial whingers get more than their fair share of airplay, which only encourages them more. I'm sure most of the players realise this and ignore it.

Got to agree with you there Dave. The singing was longer and louder, The fans behaved them selves a lot better on Saturday than Tuesday and it seemed like there were a few more people there (considering i didn't notice you until you came up at full time )

That's exactly what we need is H and J to make constant noise and get behind the team a bit more.

Now we seem to be picking up the points (7 from 9) i hope to see a few less empty seats as that will only add to the atmosphere as well
