I have just guaranteed a Kane hatrick in the final. I had a tenner on him being top scorer in the competition, and he would have had to score three to take top spot, so as the cash out was same as my stake, I've taken it.

Italy are the 'home' team on Sunday, so the Obvious answer is They will wear their home Blue kit

Will we wear white ? or red ?

Or will Itally opt for white to show us up and the FA/sponsors have us wear the JDsports esque blue abomination?

I don't know who'll win but for either result I guarantee these will be the responses from the "Don't care about England" lobby:

Italy win: Yeah I knew England had just flattered to deceive. Nothing's really changed, first time they play a decent side they lose. People got excited over nothing.

England win: Well Italy had an ageing side and aren't as good as they have been so that was the expected result. Nothing's really changed, dunno why people are celebrating so wildly. It was just luck.

All I ask is, IF England win on Sunday - please can we retire Three Lions by Baddiel & Skinner forever?

So bloody annoying.

Naa, it's a classic! Also I like the way it winds up pig-ignorant foreigners who don't understand the words and think 'football' is a trophy coming home.

"Pig-ignorant foreigners" for not quite getting the nuance of a song lyric? Blimey...

If they wear blue, we *should* be in our home kit, as our away socks are the same colour mid-blue as theirs.

(our home shorts are the same dark-blue as theirs, but presumably that's less important)

All Blue and All white is the obvious conclusion to draw

I just wondered if we might go for a 'special' red '66 job.

probably a washing machine full of dylon at FA HQ working overtime

I've been feeling a tad guilty about the dodgyish penalty against the Danes, but if the same thing happens against the Italians, I shall laugh like a bloody drain!:)

I remember being gutted for the Aussies @ the WC a few years back when pure Latin shithousery won Italy a penalty and the game, I would indeed also laugh like a crack addled hyena if the English pull off the ultimate 'Italian job' like that on Sunday evening.

Really good video if you want something to watch.

If we can keep it tight for 60/70 minutes our bench can turn the game.

I know what you mean, but ultimately we did deserve to win. We were the only team going for it in extra time.

And just think of all the bad things that have gone against us in previous tournaments!
