Oh Simster sometimes gets out of his pram. Bit hypocritical as I remember him getting very annoyed with Twatty a year or two back. This is with Twatty, you make a joke and you can see what the response is.

Back to the original point of the thread. I was at the Milan Derby at the end of February at the Inter end at what was a home game for Milan. It was absolutely sensational. It had everything and was in my top 5 football experiences of all time. In recent years I have regarded Spanish football as being the best in the world but the whole experience at the Milan Derby was just amazing.
I have been to Wembley, Hampden(old & new), Parkhead, Ibrox, Old Trafford and Anfield and none of it compares to the San Siro. I It makes Parkhead look like the Withdean. As for the game, Inter were deservedly 2-0 up at half time and should have been 3-0 up 5 mins into the second half. The Inter goalie cocked up for Milan's first goal on the hour. They equalised 2 mins later with Kaka scoring from 25 yards and then Seedorf scored from 30 yards with 5 mins to go. So much for boring Italian football.
One other thing. There were lots of really pissed off Inter fans but after the game the two sets of supporters milled around together in the same trams etc and there was no hint of aggro. I have been to Old Firm derbies and they could not compare in stature to this game.
So I concur with Watford O on this one. I actually think that Italian and Spanish football are up there almost together with the Premiership a poor 3rd. Liverpool are the 4th best side and yet they are almost as close to Leeds in points to Chelsea/Man U. It actually isn't that much more competitive than Scottish football.
