Christmas traditionally started on Christmas Day and lasted (of course) 12 days). Now it starts way before Christmas Day and everyone is done with it by Boxing Day. Funny how things change.

I’ll say it, I strongly dislike Christmas. Most people going full throttle towards it have little or no Christian beliefs, families are plunging themselves into debt to keep up with little Jimmy’s classmates and it’s just a commercialised debt fest.

Nope, and it’s not going up either (despite what Mrs D is suggesting). Going to Florida on 24/12 so decorations will be staying in the loft.

No tree….no room (at the inn)…there is one in the back garden which last year I put lights on but the mice decided to chew through the wires, so that’s no happening again …..rest of decs will be put up when I have time next month…might be first wkd …might be second or third..no idea

Xmas is made special by the grandkids…stopping ‘life’ and meeting up with my remaining family…..have a rest ….and I make sure I go to at least one Carol Service etc to connect with that side of things.

This is why I like Christmas. It's more like a ThanksGiving for me. I tend to get together with different groups of friends, and have a dinner with my cousins at some point. I love Christmas. Starts December 1st (the day after the wife's birthday), and ends NYE
