So he hasn't scored 15+ goals in a Championship season.

Sorry, I'm not sure where I took it to heart. Are you seriously defending this thread? It's a joke. Based on a pre season friendly, he is saying that we have the worst team that we have had since the Amex.

As for them losing a lot of players, they've still got a very good side. Certainly better than Championship teams. We may or may not have a weaker team than we've had before at this level but tonight will have neither proved or disproved that

Score line aside, the question was possibly prompted by the nature of the loss, we got schooled by a team that has just lost 5 key players.

All I'd say to that one is they certainly didn't play like they'd just lost 5 key players. They played us off the park through their own creative attacking play rather than anything we did all that wrong. Exactly like Derby did to us in the play-offs. There was just too wide a gulf in class tonight. Their number 8 ran the show.

Does seem a bit like a rag-tag army at the moment, for sure. Tho I guess we're now into the tried and trusted Time To Gel phase. Can't see the current line-up getting many goals, has to be said. O'Grady seems far too immobile, CMS seems far too mobile. We badly need a goal-savvy Ashley Barnes replacement.

Is always worrying that as adults we can't disagree rather than insult one another. I guess there's nothing like hiding behind anonymity.

Personally I am concerned that we are significantly short in all areas with a short time to go. Against Peterborough we lacked creativity, were negative at times and our defence looked suspect. Obviously as people have said this is just preseason however our start to the season may define it and as we won't have our signings in and gelled for next Saturday this will concern many.

Think it was Steven Davis. We were all sort of WILLING him to score just so we could find out who he was! Up til that point he was up on the screens as number 18 and there wasn't a number 8 up there at all. Plus he looked like a little kid so we sort of assumed he was a child prodigy trialist of some sort, rather than (I'm assuming, tho still not 100% sure) the 29 year old captain of Northern Ireland! We were all saying to each other 'well if Saints dont want that trialist, we'll certainly have him!'
