Is it just me worried

We are currently sitting on 10 points after 8 games. The fixtures have been kind...

Is anyone else worried that we have picked up a fairly modest amount from these games therefore meaning we have to win the hard ones coming up.

No we are only 8 games in with key injuries and a manager still working out how to find the best 11 from the players we have.

Same points tally as we had at this point last year and I would not class any fixture in this league as kind as aside from the expected performers the other teams are picking points off each other.

Micky needs time and 8 games in is far too early for panic!

yeh keep going.

Every team in the league will have injuries, Mcleod should not be the reason we are struggling. I too aint that worried and thin we will be top half with an optimistic push for playoffs. But no excuses we are playing very poorly at the moment.

Hawkins has not been able to play every game, Virgo has missed games which have played a part. Injuries are not an excuse as like you say every team has them but they do not help when you have a manager trying to shape a team.

I don't think anyone can argue we are not exactly playing champagne football but we are 8 games in which is not really the time to judge the team, Micky Adams or write our whole season off

From the first 8 games, yeah its been disappointing, but i expected it to be, with a new manager, new signings, injuries.

But yes, as with the majority, i believe we will get better as the season gets underway and hopefully challenging teams for those playoff spots.

I'll worry if I see us playing ANY more lumping high-balls into the faces of opposing defenders.
We didn't do that on Wednesday, and we got a draw against a Prem side by simply relying on our own players' ground skills.
You'd have thought that popular opinion might have seen us try to make a lottery of that match, not try outplaying them..... and then succeed! (their first goal was lucky too, an og deflection).

We really should be beating teams like N'ampton

We looked good on the opening day of the season at Crewe, mediocre inbetween and today we were shite, we're getting worse not better. I am becoming mildly concerned.

spot on. i never liked the idea of micky back he was a good manager years ago and he has good knowledge but what has he done since he left us? i think dick got him in so fans would come back i know thats what we need but its not putting us in the direction we need to be as we are drawing JUST with northampton and losing to 9 man walsall.
really peed off from today so just ranting over everything i will calm down tomorrow!!!

In a way considering we have got 3 points from our last 5 league games.

Such a long way to go though..

Cheltenham and Hereford next for us at home in the league...

I'm still far from convinced that MA is anywhere near good enough tactically. Too many favourites, too many out of position. It's like watching England (except the Croatia match of course).

Concerned after only 8 games in? no, however If we are in this position with 8 games to go then yes of course i will be very worried, as has already been said we had the same points after 8 games last season.

Injuries can't really be used as a excuse as they do happen to every team. but it does make player understandings / partnerships harder when they are playing with different players next to them every week to strike up a good understanding and consistency.

Football IS a funny old game though, we lost at home to 9 man Walsall, but beat Man City who played half a team that made Portsmouth look like a pub team just a few days earlier, it happens to every club, Liverpool couldn't score if there lives depended on it against Stoke but put TWO past Man Utd, or Arsenal today against Hull.

8 games in, 38 left, long way to go so keep the faith and hopefully the team will improve as the season goes on!

Come on The Albion!!

I felt more confident with Wilkins, but hey ho, only just started the season - If the crap style of hoofing continues and we are in this position by Christmas, I will be concerned. So far my main concern is the amount of goals we are gifting / leaking at the moment, not sure it would be happening if Elphick and Lynch were still the central pair, afterall, they have played alongside each other for a number of years - the Wright and Bright pairing of centre backs.

Not sure about Elphick and Lynch, would like to see more of Elphick and Virgo though.
