Is it just me worried

Not sure about Elphick and Lynch, would like to see more of Elphick and Virgo though.

I'm not a big fan of virgo as a centre back, Colchester and Coventry fans all said he had the same problem as when he started with us, lose concentration to often. Still at least he would add a bit of needed pace between the central pair.

I'm worried that unless the style of football at home changes we are gonna be losing more fans as well as slipping into the lower half of the table which will drive away even more fans. I can see us going to sub 4k crowds if MA does not sort out the tactics at home very soon.

I don't think we will get relegated as our style of play will always get us points away from home.

Really very disappointed with the backwards steps our football has taken this season as at tail the end of last season I had real hopes of DW making a similar improvement this year as he did last year from the previous season. Brighton playing hoof ball is never gonna bring the crowds back.

Adams has been given the funds and although I don't expect us to finish in the top two I did expect the quality of football to be way better than it currently is. I am not convinced that he is the right man for the job but after one fantastic result this viewpoint seems to be heresy on here.

Guess that makes me a heretic then.

Not sure you can really judge after only 8 games.

Sure we have seen some poor performances, but also we have seen some good football, albeit most of it away from Withdean.

Micky is obviously still searching for players to fit in the way he wishes to play, the presence of Virgo in centre midfield shows that he wanted someone to play there. Also although only one player i believe McLeod's injury is very important as i think he ( or a smilar player ) is key to how he wishes to play.

I'm not going to panic, or worry this early in the season in fact when you look at the games we have played you could argue we are ahead of last season as we have picked up points at Southend, Crewe, Yeovil and Northampton which yelded four defeats last season.

8 games is quite early (as I found out playing the journeyman option on FM08... given a job with worst team in league two weeks into season and lost 8 in a row before turning it around) but its not the results that worry me... its the style of play. I think we can't, for the next month, argue that we haven't got creativity in the squad so I now expect to see MAs team playing more creatively. If the performances are the same in a months time then, for the first time since Booker and Hinshelwood, I'll start asking questions of the manager.

Other than the Crewe and Man City games, I think we have played poorly this season. Why we persist in trying to play the long ball when we have two smallish strikers, and we're not very good at it, is beyond me. The key to getting out of this division is to defend well, keep the ball on the deck, play the passing game and run at the opposition's penalty box at pace. It's clear from Wednesday's night's performance that we are capable of doing this so why don't we just adapt our style of play accordingly? If Adams' preference really is for the long ball game, then he is not the manager to bring back the crowds to Withdean or get us out of League 1 however much it pains me to say so. I'm still trying to KEEP THE FAITH but if we're still playing in the same way and are no further up the table by Xmas I will seriously start to doubt Micky's competence as a manager.

Adams is trying to build a team but with the pennies the board allow him it will be unlikely the team will show much improvement. I will follow the boards example and keep my money until promotion is achieved.
