And the “young lads out having fun” excuse is a bit thin. They’re 28-30 not 18-20. Time they grew up.

It’s not the end of the world; they’re not drunk driving, maiming people in a brawl or masturbating in front of a mother and daughter, but it looks stupid and irresponsible.

I thought that this trip was “warm weather training “ not a company jolly. I ask:
How will this help us climb the league table?
Is having a night out the answer to our problems on the pitch?

What the hell is the point of this winter break anyway.... the Championship and lower leagues play on , why can’t we?

I think I might have warned my kids against looking up to footballers as role models. Sadly neither of mine had any interest in the Albion and were casual observers of teams better than we were at the time. So it wasn’t an issue.

I was well aware of my use of 'kids stuff' so not inadvertent. Suggesting that this point oozed out somewhere in the conversation by accident is a very arrogant base line you've set. Do you enjoy playing with glass beads as well?

I'm sure there won't be a load of old dullards commenting that they are furious that football players are daring to have a good time while in a relegation battle? And I bet nobody will have mentioned how much money these footballers earn.

The style of football we play relies on confidence and players playing without fear.
There has been a worrying return of players under-performing during the big matches.
The players haven't been able to adapt on the pitch, when things aren't going our way,

Maybe Potter thinks the players problem is more mental than physical.
Maybe this warm weather training is based on getting their heads right for the next 12 games.
Maybe relaxing with your team mates is part of the plan.

Maybe not but either way, Potter will deal with it.
