So do we believe the players are all still on the Gus bus? Do they have faith in Gus' ways and ideas. I can't quite believe how much individual performances and the discipline of players has deteriorated over the past 2-3 months. Just what the hell has happened? Have we simply been found out in the Championship or is there a deeper issue at play? What a truly depressing end to the year.

Hopefully things can only get better from here on in.

They do, do you not listen to there interviews
We were in the bottom 4 of the 3rd division when he arrived have you forgotten that.

Even if they didn't (and I'm not saying they don't) they'd hardy say so in an interview.

Not read all the posts..........

If i was Bloom Gus could take us down and he would still be manager....

Are you mad? I support BHA not Poyet. With the money we have spent and the plans for the stadium moving forwards relegation would be a disaster.

We all hope he can turn it around, January could well define his future at the club and how he will be viewed.

We are all raising questions and wondering if a five year contract was wise.

As someone else mentions Tony needs to back Gus in January and Gus needs to make sure he gets the right players in.

I support BHA too....yes i know it's a short term view to avoid relegation,disaster? no.....major setback? yes....

Gus will become a very successful manager,if you cannot tell that by now then more fool you,are we right to question? well of course.....but Gus will make mistakes, and he has,but every single thing about Gus suggests to me that whilst the pieces most of us above the surface can see are good, what a few of us see bellow the surface, will make no mistake, make Gus great.

There is no guarantee of being promoted if you get relegated, please see Huddersfield Town as an example they have been down there for years since being relegated from the championship.Their new stadium was lovely when they built it all those years ago, getting relegated could put the club back years.

Poyet is not some demi god, he did brilliantly last season but that was last season. Elements of his tactical, management style and transfers are in question. No one wants him gone, his footballing philsophy is to be admired and hopefully this will not be his downfall.

I'll be out there what ever happens cheering on the team and I'm sure all will turn out ok but January is a big test for Gus and Tony.

On this point i agree-we were very fortunate timing wise to get promotion last season

The same theories ensure at international level that England will never win world cups,Gus is changing or helping the game for the better, this is/will be although not totally the reason why we should/will keep Gus..

14 years without Falmer in the bottom 2 divisions or - 14 years with Falmer in league's 1 & 2......? we want the championship of course.

Maybe...but suppose the worse happens and we stick with Gus and end up getting relegated? What then? Do we give him the opportunity to take us up again knowing how tactically naive he is at Championship level? I sincerely hope this doesn't happen and I wish Gus well but I am growing increasingly worried by some of what is happening at the club.

Calm down! 32 points on the board. Players coming back, money (probably) to spend. Seven points off the play off's.

My main beef is the lack of tactical nous. We've been set up oddly since Doncaster, but once we have a full squad we'll be fine and dandy. He's a clever guy. Give him time and he'll learn - as long as he can swallow his pride that is...

The answer to the question is 'yes'. And deserves to be. Thankfully out Chairman has a bit more vision and perspective than some of the fans.

Strange thread where did you think Brighton would be in the table on the first of January? Teams were always going to work out your style of football after 10 games or so but it must be better than watching west hams hoof ball every week?
Thinks mid table would be a good finnish come may them try to build a better squad over the next few years.

That's the plan, just think there are a few more people looking at it objectively rather than through blue tinted Poyet glasses now.

No real discent just question asking on a message board.

You lot don't deserve someone of his quality. Bunch of Fuckwits the lot of you. If you fail to see how he reshaped the club from top to bottom, you are idiots. By all means question some recent results but if you think him leaving is the answer then you know NOTHING about football.

Give me one name of someone who would do better

This. Some of the comments in this thread are shocking. Go and support someone else, fuckwits.

Over there
People can slag off Gus, and that's there prerogative, but personally I think they're talking shit. From keeping us up in his first half season, to storming league 1 in his first full season in management to being top half of the table this season.
Tell you what, let's sack Gus and pick one of the usual management merry-go-round failures. Peter Taylor and Brian Horton were good once right?
