Is finishing 10th seen as a disappointment this season?

Personally I would be over the moon if we make it to the play offs- Do we have the squad to power on ? I think we will miss out personally but this may change between now and the end of August.

I'd be hopeful of a shot at the playoffs, but I wouldn't say I'd be disappointed by any kind of Top 10 finish.

Depends what happens in the next couple of weeks mind.

If we finished in the top 10, with more points, and more goals than last season, I'd be happy.

I think 10th is about right for where we are currently. Our squad has improved, but the strength of the league has too, so I think 10th is a fair prediction at the moment. Add the striker or two and we could be pushing for 6th place.

We're unlikely to win 5 out of the first 6 games or whatever it was last season which really gave us the platform to chase the playoffs.

Depends if we struggle to 10th playing turgid football and sell our best players then yes. If we play good football with a clear improvement in the squad quality ready for a real promotion push next season then no. The difference between 6th and 10th can be very small.

i would be happy with 10th. with a couple of signings and a good run with injuries i think we could sneak the playoffs. but this league in unpredictable.

We were still in with an outside chance of the play-offs with about a month of the season left last time. Would be happy if we were there or thereabouts similarly this time.

I'd be happy with 10th again - I don't think we have improved the squad sufficiently to challenge for the top two, and not quite enough to reach the play-offs. Somewhere between 8th - 11th for me.

Absolutely not. Despite what some would like to believe, we have not funded an expensive shot at the Premiership. We have made improvements on the pitch and off it, and need to stay at the business end (top half) of the Championship. If we miss out on playoffs, a few more subtle improvements next year with a bit of patience and eventually we will crack it.

I'd say par was about eighth. I'd feel slightly disappointed with 10th againj as I feel the squad is stronger, but then again teams have had a year to work out how to stop us.

There are some teams, even if not brilliant, that you know will be up there this season, the likes of Bolton and Blackburn.

But if our form hadn't tailed off so badly last season we would have been in the play-offs, and that should be the target this time.

I think a lot of us may have forgotten where we were a few years ago. Top half for me and I'm ecstatic. Avoid relegation and I'll be happy.

Yes. I'm not expecting play-offs; 7th wouldn't be a disappointment, but 10th would be.

We've improved in goal, in defence, and in midfield, and the strike-force hasn't gone backwards even if it hasn't gone forwards. How can not improving even one place not be a little bit disappointing?
