We should also factor in that with the two man advantage and the goal lead, stockport weren't exactly pressuring us, sitting back and letting Dicker play (the often maligned Navarro was also said to have improved when he was playing in those circumstances).

The Millwall manager is claiming his team tired in the second half so soon after the extra time game on tuesday, and so didn't have the energy to keep up their first half performance, more mitigating circumstances that would make it appear as if dicker improves the team, when it is not necessarily him.


If, having seen him play in pre-season and in training; and with his greater-than-mine football knowledge, watched Dicker's performance in his brief appearances against casual opponents, and allegedly tired opponents Slade judged him to not be performing well enough to interrupt a settled selection, then I trust his judgement in that too.
