I think it does in their holy book, doesn't it?

Quran 8:12 reads, “When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”

And a few more excerpts from that peace loving book:

Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them(2:191)
Make war on the infidels living in your neighboorhood (9:123)
When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them (9:5)
Kill the Jews and the Christians if they do not convert to Islam or refuse to pay Jizya tax (9:29)
Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable (3:85)
The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them (9:30)
Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticise Islam. (5:33)
The infidels are unclean; do not let them into a mosque (9:28)
Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies (22:19)
Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them (47:4)
The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them (8:65)
Muslims must not take the infidels as friends (3:28)
Terrorise and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an (8:12)
Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorise the infidels (8:60)

You missed the quote from 5.32 “…whosoever killeth a human being… it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind" and more simplistically you ignore that fact that the vast majority of Muslims are law abiding suggesting they don't literally interpret these words...

I'm guessing there's no "Turn the other cheek" ?

I'm not sure, and of course there are some nasty bits in the Christian Bible, but not on the same scale as in this book, you can see for yourself,

But we are pigs, not human beings.

I take your point. There is definitely a religious aspect. Do We have to ignore that and concentrate on their actions, regardless of motive? Just thinking from a solution aspect.

does the religious basis of their intent change the solution, or the range of solutions available?

i mean, though it is 100% religious, their cause its scaring the crap out of their Muslim neighbours as they are more extreme than the typical extremist. apparently their leader made bin Laden wince in a "bit strong" fashion on the position that Shia's should all be killed.

It was tongue in cheek. I have no desire to trawl through any religious fairy stories-especially the Religion of Peace's.

The Muslim faith does not support the killing of innocent people as evidenced by the Millions of law abiding Muslims worldwide.

He hasn't ignored the fact that most are law abiding - you said that "The Muslim faith does not support the killing of innocent people" and he's simply pointing out that it does. Also, if you live under sharia law, then you can be law abiding and behead the non believers.

Incidentally, are those quotes from the Quran original, or part of the hate speech that has been added?

Apart from the cultural barbarity of this act they've destroyed one income stream left to these people, and that's tourism.

Their income stream is Saudi arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and every other Sunni fabulously wealthy individual who bankrolls them. This is now the paradox with Iran, supposedly the great satan, who are mostly Shiites who hate the west, but hate the Sunnis more, so now in the same way as we were talking about sending arms and monies to the opposition fighters in Syria, who turned out to be these murdering psychopaths, we are now trying to get into bed with Iran!

The west has no idea how to involve itself in the Middle East and only theRomans really knew how to deal with the Carthaginians over three wars that ended up with the complete and utter annihilation of the people's of Carthage( in Tunisia and Libya) including people, animals, plants, every living thing was killed and razed to the ground....and following a period of " do it again Arabs and this is what happens" they then rebuilt the city but only allowed roman and Roman slaves to live there.

Nasty *******s the romans were!

Oh and I supposed alexander the Macedonian won wars all the way to Babylon, and when approaching Babylon, the defenders sent out mutilated Greek soldiers and women, he was so incensed by the actions he also flattened Babylonia and killed everyone in there...the only city he did that to.

hey, you've just understood the whole problem with religions. selective reading of their canon texts. this passages matters, but this one doesn't. guess what, those guys over there have a different view. splitters, a jihad on you... etc.

you seem to have missed saying this applies to Jews only and also missed the next verse to get the full context and revert back to killing

Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.5.32

Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,5.33

It's absurd to pretend that Islam has nothing to do with, er, Islamic State. The clue might just be in the name...

All that that bunch of brainwashed barbarians are doing is acting out their own, chosen bits of Qur'an. Literally. And thereby claiming that they are only obeying [holy] orders.

Were it nor for all those poor millions of brainwashed-from-birth children, it would be quite comical to be watching a religion that is so utterly at war with itself approaching its death throes at its own hand.

The fact remains that the biggest oppressors and murderers of Muslims in the world are of course other Muslims, all claiming their own sectarian hotline to Allah (saw), and interpretation of the words of his prophet (PBUH). The consequences of the 7th century Sunni-Shia divide (over whether Mo had really wanted his cousin or his mate to take over) make Northern Ireland look like a dodgy vicar's slumber-party. The result: a religion not of peace, but of chaos: conflict and contradictions, with a dash of institutionalised misogyny and homophobia thrown in for bad measure.

But there is hope. Here, for example. Council of British Ex-Muslims

Before you rant about religion, this has nothing to do with religion
The acts of violence that make the headlines are of course barbaric, and it's difficult to imagine the perpetrators as anything other than sadistic nutters, but most of the people supporting ISIS (both financially and with their lives) do believe that they are doing so in the name of god. Suicide bombers are misled fools that believe they are going to paradise, so of course religion plays a massive part in that.

Surely it's like training a puppy isn't it?
A couple of raps on the snout with a rolled up newspaper (Nuke) and I'm sure it would all be sorted out.

It's going to happen eventually anyway isn't it?

Well many hundreds of educated wonderful muslim people here didn't batter an eye lid when departing our great country to join up with the twats Isis...Dread to think how many thousands will go the same way.

They all worship their God and live the way of a muslim and have little interest in blending into our society to be frank....rose tinted specs for many as given the choice of their god or our society its blatantlly obvious what they'd choose wether they're nice or nasty. The best muslim ever can turn evil very quickly once brainwashed again.

This isn't too bad. The news that they shot children infront of their parents in a refugee camp and played football with the beheaded victim's heads was the last straw for me, I don't think anything would shock me now.

I've been out the loop of late GingerBeerMan. Where was this reported ?
