Nail on head. You get them at away games too sometimes, pathetic dimwits who tell you off for swearing or for pissing around and having a laugh and not standing just watching the game or for being too drunk. Whole point of why I love football.

However, for the point of this thread, I was ecstatic that England won tonight, I thought in general the fans noise on the TV (no I wasn’t there, as I guess wasn’t the majority here) was incredible and made a real change from the piped sounds we have got used to over the last 15 months.

It was just a shame a few xenophobic/nationalist/passionate non snowflake supporters* decided it was a good idea to boo the German national anthem and the taking the knee (though not necessarily the same people).

On the contrary, I think that was my best ever football experience. Better than any Brighton game ever. The fact that everyone at home and everyone you know (aside from a few dickheads who think they are being cool) was excited and happy as well makes it even better. I never understand the club over country thing. When Brighton win it’s fantastic, but I only get to celebrate it with a select group of mates and my Dad. When England win the whole country is buzzing.

It was not meant as a club vs country fan comment. Just that I have no control over what emotions I feel. We felt differently, there is no right or wrong.
