[Football] Is anyone else really proud of our fans tonight…

If you need me to explain what’s racist about booing a national anthem then clearly booing is for you!

Back to your pantomime, he’s behind you, oh no he isn’t - boo!

And yes, that is a crap analogy...

Cuck off you funt. Never heard anything so stupid in my life. One piss off that does my head in is we having some proper snowflake fans with BHA at times, I love the booing, it makes it all the more fun. It is only a game ffs.

I'm so bloody proud tonight. That was a special special game. We look like we could actually win this thing with a very likeable team.

Was this thread an alternative to the booing one???

That went well.

The atmosphere sounded amazing on the TV. Well done all.

Brighton fans are such bellends sometimes. So desperate to show how edgy and cool they are with their alternative opinions. I don’t think you get this with other clubs in this country.

Nail on head. You get them at away games too sometimes, pathetic dimwits who tell you off for swearing or for pissing around and having a laugh and not standing just watching the game or for being too drunk. Whole point of why I love football.

Saying that, it rarely happens and I'll love BHA till I die.

You’re a charmer aren’t you, does your mother know you use language like that?

Now sit down, ol’ chap I can’t see and would you mind taking that gum out while you’re cursing me, please. :)

Not understanding the accusation you are making of others is not a good starting point.

But it’s not so crystal clear, as explained here...

https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/xenophobia-and-racism-difference

However, for the point of this thread, I was ecstatic that England won tonight, I thought in general the fans noise on the TV (no I wasn’t there, as I guess wasn’t the majority here) was incredible and made a real change from the piped sounds we have got used to over the last 15 months.

It was just a shame a few xenophobic/nationalist/passionate non snowflake supporters* decided it was a good idea to boo the German national anthem and the taking the knee (though not necessarily the same people).

* delete as applicable.

Sorry but cant get too enthusiastic about the behaviour of our fans as Ive been alive long enough to remember the countless times theyve brought shame on us.
What?... them, or their feckless predecessors?... there is in my view a change in the latent threat of English support, it's not on the same level as it was 15 or 20 years ago.

Very true. I just find it odd people can find something to moan about after a night like last night. Also, I was drunk. And now I’m hungover. But I don’t care. I might get drunk again.

IT’S ****ING COMING HOME!!

At the end of my tether
Interesting how the “ meh......so what” attitude has gone now after stumbling through the group stage and one good win.
Personally, I am still rather ambivalent about it all. Just can’t find the “England enthusiasm “ that I used to have.

Fantastic support although I would have liked to have heard a lot more booing. I wonder how many of the 'I don't watch or care about England' tits were jumping out their seats when Sterling scored.

I can’t find anywhere to post this, and it’s probably not worth a new thread. I was thrilled with last night’s result BUT although I was excited and loved cheering the goals going in, my elation was nothing like the elation I feel when the Albion score. That’s all

The real bellends are on the matchday thread with ‘Germany very poor’, ‘we were very lucky’ etc. etc.

Must have been great, the second goal celebrations looked like old fashioned disco chaos!

On the contrary, I think that was my best ever football experience. Better than any Brighton game ever. The fact that everyone at home and everyone you know (aside from a few dickheads who think they are being cool) was excited and happy as well makes it even better. I never understand the club over country thing. When Brighton win it’s fantastic, but I only get to celebrate it with a select group of mates and my Dad. When England win the whole country is buzzing.

It was not meant as a club vs country fan comment. Just that I have no control over what emotions I feel. We felt differently, there is no right or wrong.

I still bloody loved it though, I was even a big Jack Grealish fan last night too.

No I know it wasn’t meant to be, don’t worry.

My kids are still absolutely buzzing from last night. It was my youngest’s first ever game!
