This is your 7th post on the thread.:)

At the end of the day, people not liking an anthem being boo'd has no impact on anyone, not in the ground, not the atmosphere, just in chat rooms. At yet people seem to get so wound up by opinions in chat rooms?

Honestly, those getting wound up by people not liking booing of an anthem are just as bad as those getting wound up by the booing.

I think it's more the OTT claims of shame and embarrassment. If that OP had just put that he didn't like booing the thread probably would've disappeared without a trace!

The vast majority of replies were agreeing with the OP, with syntax including "pathetic, shocking, embarrassing, disgusting gammons, cringeworthy, wanky, shameful, caged BEASTS, ignorant, racist" etc etc.

From that, I'd say the "I'm offended" brigade were a fair bit more wound up than the shruggers. That said, I'm not entirely comfortable with falling on the side of PPF.

First time for everything though I suppose.

Seeing as national anthems themselves are mostly ridiculous I see the booing of them as little more than a bit of pantomime.

Infinitely more embarrassed by the knee booers.

Caged beasts was a classic, fans have a bit of fun booing are now described as caged beasts foaming at the mouth…only on NSC.

Is this thread still going? :lolol::lolol::lolol:

I can't believe that the anti booers or the anti anti booers really care that much.

Time to move on.

Children usually grow out of pantomime. Anyway, as another said above, time to move on. It is a silly thread not because of the OP but of childish/offensive things a few adults do.

The poll on this suggested that 80% of NSC didn’t like the booing, reading the later pages on this thread it seems that most approve, and would have joined in and are pretty disparaging of those who were disgusted by it

How does that work?

How does that work?

Same old same old.

The noisy majority are trying to silence dissenting voices.

Or the actual same old same old of not everyone voting ?
I didn’t.

The poll was a classic lead the witness with the answers one. I booed the poll when I saw it.

After my support of booing national anthems, I’m now in slight quandary….

I definitely wouldn’t boo the Danish national anthem as I feel we need to be magnanimous to the Danish team and Danish people because of what happened to Christian Eriksen.

Depends on what everyone around me does!

They had / have our sympathy and wish them well but lets make it nice and hostile.
