Treason is comitted against the sovereign OR the nation , as such you're still a treacherous bastard.

Stop with the personal shit it makes you seem bitter and resentful, i havent sworn any allegiance to queen or country so cant commit treason, personally consider myself more of a european not really into all that patriotic bullshit.

See you edited that last post
from we have - to we have moved on-part of moving on for all people is the need for reflection, admission and apology on all sides of any conflict.

My Mum was a nurse in Northern ireland in the 60s and 70's and she spent time on the Bogside and Falls road nursing wounded from both sides.

Kids throwing petrol bombs at Army, when the kids would raise the bottles the burning rags would often fall out and tip burning petrol all over them. My Mum nursed these kids. These are 7,8,9 yr olds.

The British soldiers booting in any door they liked looking for sympathisers etc made them unwelcome to say the least but you know, bad things were done on all sides.

My Mum and her nurse friends would make care packages for the Soldiers, bake them cakes (probably shagged 'em too) and one night locals kicked my Mums door in and threatened her life for helping the Brit Soldiers.

Bad things done by both sides which is basically what happens in War.

FAO bhaexpress,

you posted earlier on this thread and note from other posts in the past that you describe yourself as a lapsed Catholic.

Did you know that you can formally defect from the Catholic Church and not be recorded in their numbers.

FYI Count Me Out - Take a stand for church/state separation

To be honest I don't feel strongly enough about it to bother but thanks anyway. I have relatives in Canada who are born again Christians and they are inclined to talk a lot of crap when it comes to religion. However, I still go to their church as it makes them happy which is unlike some other family members. To be honest it means nothing to me but if it makes them happy then I don't mind, they are doing nobody any harm when all is said and done. My other half is a devout Catholic however her daughter, despite being taught by nuns, is very much in agreement with me and that's not my influence either.

Yes because it was the nasty british who set the car bomb , killing and maming countless people wasnt it

In Monaghan, Dublin, Dundalk, Castleblayney, etc, etc, it was people doing it in the name of the British. Monaghan/Dublin it was quite likely assisted by members of the British security forces.

There is no side blameless in this, although you seem to assume it was solely "Irish". Who in this case are of course UK residents fighting a UK civil war.
