It's not just about the field of play though, Hannibal. Cullip's loss would be felt around the whole club, whereas I don't think Currie had been around long enough to become part of the fabric of the club.

I don't know, obviously, but I suspect that Currie wasn't the influence in the dressing room that Cullip or, say, Oatway are. We've lost a dead ball specialist and good passer, not the heart and soul of the club.

Your probably right - we often hear about the positive apsects of the dressing room and as Cullip is captain I assume that a lot of that is due to him.

On the field of play though only Leon and Currie could do something out of the ordinary. My worry is that he needs replacing but the money will be eaten up by Falmer. If so, this could be the difference between relegation and staying up which as highlighted in my previous post is not as doom and gloom as it appears, given we are only halfway towards safety.

But we will be tomorrow and in all likelihood still on 25 points.

All I'm saying is that if he is not replaced, this could be the difference between staying up or going down. As we know it was always going to be tight anyway and this could tip the balance against us.

I take this type of news phlegmatically. It is a good sum of money for a 30-year old who cost us nothing. It is too early to know whether it will help us stay up, or contribute to our resignation. Just to say thanks to Darren for being a star this season.

Though I am disappointed, I would rather lose Currie than one of our young stars, and that includes Harding, whom I don't rate, though he is growing on me.
It seems like the only players that we know we will keep are those that form the nucleus of the squad: those brought in by Adams.

Why, because they are past their sell-by date and nobody will want them? :lolol: :lolol:

The club couldn't really say no to this though could they. Currie wanted to go, and to get £250,000 profit on a thirty year old has got to be good business. We could give Reid a chance in Currie's role or Hammond. Dick will make sure some of the cash goes on strengthening the squad, I'm sure of it.

Yes. I heard about this today on Southern FM, and came as a shock to me, but I do know we do need the money. But what would happen now, because I really do hope so that we start loosing more matches to easy teams like Burnley. We beat the big guns (Leeds and West Ham) and not the sh!t teams like Crewe.

Leeds are doing bad too as were level pegging with them so that must be something to smile about:D

P.S Check out my sig \/
