I too believe it to be Gavin Williams... & I quote from TWTD...

Midfielder Gavin Williams is expected to leave the Blues later today. The 27-year-old is undergoing a medical at an unnamed club with the deal likely to be worth more than the £300,000 the Welshman cost Town in January 2006.

Boss Jim Magilton hopes Williams has a successful time away from Portman Road: "There are still bits and pieces to be done, but it looks as though Gavin will be on his way.
"I think it was inevitable that Gavin needed to move on to further his career. When he was good, he was very good but we never saw enough of that here and I think you could say it was unfulfilled potential.

"Injuries hampered his career at Ipswich but if he can get a run of games going, then maybe someone will see the best of him.

"He's a lively lad, you need characters around the place and we wish him all the best for the future."

No club has been reported to be after Williams in recent months, however, in January the midfielder was linked with Bristol City and Plymouth, having previously been mentioned in connection with Swansea, although the Swans’ management has since changed. The Wales international previously worked with Robins boss Gary Johnson during his spell at Yeovil.

Williams joined the Blues from West Ham initially on loan in October 2005, making the move permanent the following January. The midfielder’s time at Portman Road has been hit by injury on a number of occasions, most significantly at the beginning of last season when he damaged ankle ligaments in the final game of pre-season at home to Panathinaikos.

The former Hereford man made 51 starts and eight sub appearances for the Blues, scoring three goals.

I'm guessing by looking at the Ipswich Town website that it is Gavin Williams, who is mentiond in that article.

Has anyone considered that it might be us who are buying Williams? I know it sounds ridiculous with him costing more than £300k but we have shown with Murray we are willing to spend on the right player and we desperately need a quality player in central midfield. He was transfer listed at Ipswich so will probably move down the leagues from them so there are not many teams who can match that value.

I have no insider knowledge to back it up, its just a thought.

I suspect most people don't want Harding back as he tried to shaft us by not signing a contract and leaving. However, the fact that we got a fee that was 10 times his worth was our good fortune and Leed's loss (two good outcomes in fact!). My own view of him was that he was overrated and only got U21 caps because a better player was injured but I can't recall who that was. Richards would be a better proposition.

Leighton Baines wasn't it?

Welsh international midfielder Gavin Williams is set to sign for Bristol City from Championship rivals Ipswich Town in a £100,000 deal. (The Sun)
Whether you The Sun is a different matter.

Hmmm. doubt we would spend upwards of £300k, or even £100k, on an injury-prone midfielder...
