What he said. Awesome bit of kit. Only thing I can fault it on is the battery life isn't great if you leave your 3G switched on. That said though if you charge your phone up every night then it's not really an issue.
Web and email are simply superb for a handheld device and there are some great apps available for it.

I'm holding off for a PAYG version. I just don't make that many calls to justify the contract. I'm really looking to use it just for it's web access. My Itouch is great for that but you have to be near a hotspot.

I have recently bought an Ipod Touch 16Gb and upgraded to V2 of the firmware so this does all the cool stuff the iphone does without all the poor phone stuff which is where the iphone falls down. I have a decent phone which does all the phone stuff and the ipod touch does all the cool stuff and the web browsing, I can even connect it to my phones 3G over wi fi if I need access on it when not near a hotspot.

Nope until just now the only ways i knew how to do it were either to download a hack or pay to create a ringtone on itunes. Those guys at apple never miss a trick to make money.
