What has made the biggest difference to your life the internet or mobile phones?
Mutually exclusiveWhat has made the biggest difference to your life the internet or mobile phones?
The Internet for me.
I remember being pleased with a modem, 56k speed I think it was and paying 50p a minute to BT for access to BBS info back in the day. My phone bills were horrendous. Also, if someone picked the phone extension up they cut you off the Internet!
Now I'm on a 200MB connection!! Completely over the top speed for what I need!
But access to unlimited information on every subject, ever!, amazing.
If nothing else it has stopped the Encyclopaedia Britannica salesman from knocking the door every month trying to flog their wares!
Neither to be honest. I have never really embraced the digital age, someone once told me that l would have been at my happiest if had lived in Victorian times, they are probably right.
By the way Disraeli is still Prime Minister isn't he?
Nah its Harold Wilson
Never heard of him, must be some young whipper-snapper. Is he a Whig or a Tory?

Smart phone. To have the functionality my phone has I'd have to be carrying a camera, photo album, address book, A-Z, calculator, computer & modem, walkman, huge tape collection, bank book, train timetable, bus timetable, radio, etc etc etc.
