I also hear the 1901's get a front row seat for this event on Wednesday too:

" DISCOVERY SEPARATES FROM INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION - At 8:37 a.m. EST, space shuttle Discovery fired its jets to separate from the International Space Station for the final time, setting it on a course for its return to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday."

that was bloody superb seeing them both, only got a minute of action before they disappeared behind the houses. Defo going up the downs later tonight for a gander at the night sky

How amazing was that. 2 for the price of 1. When is the shuttle due to land?

I saw it, I saw it! It had a green flashing light on one side and a red on the other. It passed about 100 feet over my house and I could here the engine and see its landing lights.

I wonder what distance it was between the shuttle and the space station. Didn't look very far, but I bet its a thousand miles or something ridiculous.
