It's quite amusing to see Australia lose 0-1 at home to Bahrain, with wee Maty in goal. (personally, it's sporting schadenfreude for the Aussies in general than Ryan in particular )

The Japanese did manage to double their lead before the interval, Mitoma meeting Doan's curling centre to head the ball back across the helpless Wang.

Seven minutes into the second half Moriyasu's side extended their lead when Mitoma's pass released Minamino into the penalty area and the Monaco forward bent his strike beyond Wang.

Most Sweden sides for the last 30 years have normally had one very good attacker, a half decent winger, absolutely nothing else to get your pulse going, but could generally be relied on for a clean sheet.

This one? Looks a little top heavy. Do you have any defenders to come in? I can't think of any

Yeah we have a bunch of ok defenders - probably more than at any time before - but no one to really lead it, no one who stands out. So its just flat and bad and new players every time.

There is a young lad in Malmö called Nils Zätterström, he will soon be a target for big clubs and could perhaps rise above this fairly mediocre lot.
