Does that not get increased to 2 matches because it's his second suspension of the season (should it happen)? (Genuinely asking, I'm not sure if that applies in this sort of situation)
No.
I'm 99.9% certain the additional suspension only applies to red cards.
So:
Five yellows in first 19 games = 1-match ban
Ten yellows within first 32 games = 2-match ban
Further suspensions come into play for reaching 15 and 20 cautions.

First red card = standard suspension
Second red card = standard suspension + 1 game
Third red card = standard suspension + 2 games
etc

Unfortunately, the Premier League website cannot be relied upon for accurate info on all Albion players. The FA website has the definitive disciplinary info.
For anyone who cares about these things....

Gross is shown on the FA website to have received three cautions. The Premier League website (and every other source, as far as I can tell) has him with only two. Yesterday I e-mailed the FA to find out when the other caution was received. I had a reply today that he was also booked in the win at Forest.

So, in that Forest match we received six cautions and a straight red card! It is the second time this season we've received six cautions in a match.

Sort of. Adam Brett is the club's Head of Medicine and Performance team and has been since 2020 according to his LinkedIn and thats a large team he leads which you'd expect given we're a PL club

And The club doctor appears to be Tim Buck and has been for a while. .

But yes the first team are advertising for a doctor (but no idea if the role is vacant, new, or this is preparation in advance of someone leaving)

For Marseilles

Same squad as Burnley except Moder is not in our Europa League squad. . And i think Veltman is still out.

Welbeck could be on the bench for Arsenal (A) says RDZ which is good news.

Veltman was for personal reasons so perhaps he's gone home for a bit.

The :( I gave to your post, was obviously specifically for the bit about Joel Veltman, who I'd very much hoped would be playing tomorrow night.

The Welbeck part is good news - especially as Arsenal away is one of the ten or so games a season he tends to give of his best, in.

Perhaps he just overlooked Veltman when asked in the presser. Good to see him back training.

So currently we have as far as i can tell - we are down to 6 players who are out - Enciso, March, Estupinan, Lamptey, Webster, and Ansu Fati.
Not far off par for the course with other clubs in the PL.

March, Lamptey, Webster and Fati are familiar faces on the injury table unfortunately.

I would say the first three are significant losses - especially Estupinian & March in terms of the way we play, and Enciso as the exciting game-changer that we simply don't have nowadays. Ansu Fati has been more prominent in Europa League games, and I think we miss him more in Europe....but hopefully this won't matter so much until March!

Not underplaying the importance of the players - we've really missed Estupinan and March and Ansu Fati had been expertly eased in before his injury - but volume wise then after a tricky few weeks - we're certainly not relying on u21s anymore etc

Solly March has had a long career now and its a long time since his last ACL injury - 9 years !. He played nearly 100 PL games practically in a row in the last 3 years under both Potter and RDZ.
I realise that, not being critical he hasn’t been played 100 games in a row. Without this latest horrendous injury he missed 31 games due to injuries in the last 3 seasons.

Webster is made from cheese
Lamptey may never recover full fitness
Fati see Lamptey

I will add the ACL injuries that appear to be on the increase throughout the game (esp. women) is a concern. Listened to a piece on Talksport from a physio who believes the pitches are firstly to blame. There's no give in the surface and it also doesn't allow the foot to twist easily. He also added the run offs are a concern. A study showed many of the injuries were from players who played wide on the pitch. Some might say it's due to these players being the quick slight players. The physio disagreed he said many of the run offs are hard artificial grass (not actually 3g) added to which most slope downwards. This put huge pressure on the knee.

This is the first time I’ve seen it reported anywhere
Think I put something cryptic on here a few months back as these are the sorts of EXCLUSIVES I’m privy to 👍

Fair enough . A slight exaggeration - but In the last 90 albion games before his ACL this season - in the premier league, FA Cup - then Solly missed 6 (six) squads/ games due to injury (the last 5 games of 22/23 and 1 in 21/22).

and he's played a lot of football for Albion . In 6 and a bit years in the PL he's made 182 appearances out of 235. In recent years of course he's been injured but not very often.
