Are any of these eye witness accounts actually true?

I didn't see the incident that started it but saw the comedy armlock and "I haven't done anything" shouting routine :lolol:

I also heard the initial conversation between the bloke and the stewards and nobody mentioned anything about cigarettes or abusive behavour, the steward just said they "didn't like his attitude"

Whatever happened it wasn't enough to get him chucked out so can't have been that bad, big fuss about nothing

As per my first post...

You seem a bit of a rebel, you big bad-boy Safeway - go on, you tell those 'orrible stewards so you can sit with chaps like that at Falmer, and talk about it all going a bit nawty

How do you get from a comment about a crafty ciggie not being the world's greatest crime to Safeway wanting to be a hoolie? And why the 'laugh' smiley? It's not funny, just a bit weird.

caught the "i didn't do anything" incident and thought the stewards seemed to be overly agressive but then without knowing the offence it's hard to comment.

however, the sight of 2 stewards SPRINTING down the running train as 'backup' when 2 stewards were already dealing with the matter was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen, you'd have thought there had been a riot.

Withdean stewards have no common sense at all

So i'm a drug addict am I? Well thought out post. Idiot.

Yes you are a drug addict. If you are a regular smoker you are addicted to nicotene. Nicotene is a drug, it just happens to be legal, like caffeine or alcohol.

Well! You didn't have *all* that much difficulty commenting then?

I'm well aware of that but as someone else pointed out above it's hardly a scene from trainspotting. What a silly over reaction of a post he wrote. We all know what stigma 'drug addict' has in society - it carries connotations of illeagal hard drugs - so no i don't consider it being a drug addict myself.

:lolol: funny how some people seem to "find" trouble no matter where they go, as a former nightclub bouncer I can normally spot this type of person from a good 50 yards  (usually quite easy to spot due to the massive chip on one shoulder)
Because nightclub bouncers have never ,ever been guilty of starting trouble have they ?

Three stewards of varying seniority sprinted from the half way line to the shitters and so I wondered if was part of their training. All is now clear.

Are you sure that they hadn't just had one of the Withdean burgers ?

one reason i dont go withdean anymore, the stewards there are bottom of the barrell im afraid,, just looking for confrontation week in week out...i cert had my share of run ins with em in the past...anyway as for smoking in the bog... big deal, is all i can say

That's strange as I have managed to go to over 1500 Albion games and never had a run in with a steward. The club are also obliged by the law to prevent smoking so it is a "big deal".

Thought crosses my mind, all this crap on here about stewards do this, somebody else does that, does anyone actually watch the match ? As a previous poster rightly said, if you go through the turnstile , go to your seat, have a wee at halftime, go back to your seat, watch the match, where's the problem? Get the impression there are a lot of nosey attention seekers on here, who are compulsive moaners.
