one reason i dont go withdean anymore, the stewards there are bottom of the barrell im afraid,, just looking for confrontation week in week out...i cert had my share of run ins with em in the past...anyway as for smoking in the bog... big deal, is all i can say

Absolute rubbish. I fail to understand how you can't just go to the match, hand over your ticket stub, walk to your seat ( maybe via the burger van ) and sit and watch the match. I do and I hardly even notice the stewards. So bar the odd exceptions that have been discussed to death on here ( and this one doesn't appear to be an exception ) if you regularly have run ins with the stewards you must be :

> Standing and not sitting down when asked
> Smoking ( it is actually illegal in the stadium and the club, like a pub landlord, are responsible for enforcing the ban )
> One of those "naughty" boys who really reckons they're "it" and hard
> A complete twat
> Or all of the above

What right do Steward's have to put anyone in a arm lock. I hope he prosecute's them. Asault! I saw one of them looking in a young girls bag at the entrance, it's totally stupid.

Three stewards of varying seniority sprinted from the half way line to the shitters and so I wondered if was part of their training. All is now clear.

:lolol: funny how some people seem to "find" trouble no matter where they go, as a former nightclub bouncer I can normally spot this type of person from a good 50 yards  (usually quite easy to spot due to the massive chip on one shoulder)

Absolutely.
And it's actually just simple common sense

Well said.

Whatever the initial trigger e.g. an illicit fag, to shout foul abusive language and threaten violence in front of young kids queuing for the loos, is out of order.

During his tunnel-vision temper, he forgot about everyone else around him.

Glad he was ejected.

Only two and are you sure they actually legged it after him. Doesn't sound like BHA Stewards as they normally use rule #131, "Overkill in all situations" and are all as athletic as John Prescott after 15 pints and a curry.

Not REALLY sure what you are saying.. but yes, it was exactly as I initially described. I know embellishment is a pre-requisite for many NSC posts, but not from me.

Shame the rest of the post proves the first sentance to be incorrect.

There are rules that the club have to enforce as they are set out in law, why should you feel that these laws don't apply and that anyone who tries to ensure that they are enforced to avoid the penalties that the club would face are "the bottom of the barrell im afraid,, just looking for confrontation week in week out"

I don't get why people find it so difficult to understand that in an all seater stadium they are required to sit
That in a non smoking public place they are not allowed to smoke
That in a public place they are not allowed to use abusive for threatening behaviour

Why, just because its a football match do people think that they are exempt from these? Do they do similar things in other public places like smoking in restaurants or cimemas, etc....

If people just followed the T's & C's they agreed to when buying their tickets, there would be no need for the stewards to get involved with anyone.

And anti-establishment, because stewards are often perceived as representative of establishment and 'the coppers' (not by most stewards themselves though).
Rebelious without cause, "soldiers are we, born to be free, just like the fish in the sea" sing the masses.

Are you just being sexist or ageist here, just because a bag belongs to a female means no one should chek it to see if banned items are being smuggled in? It isn't beyond the realms of fantasy that someone who wanted to smuggle in something thats banned to ask a younger female fan to take it in for them?

And prosecute them for Assult, that would be laughed, quite rightly, out of court. Haven't you heard of reasonable force to eject someone from a venue if they are not co-operating?

I just don't get why some people have such an issue with Stewards
