Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Call me old fashioned but the purpose of an message board is to post reasoned rumour, sometimes humorous, sometimes factual. When it gets silly is when people INSIST that they are in the right or in the wrong when in actual fact the dealings of a football club at times like these are very much fluid.

I heard on Monday that talks has started with Ince, and I'm 100% sure they did, but as I said in my original post, the stumbling block over the vacancy is that it has become the norm for agents to insist there is a stay up, or get out clause, i.e its a win win situation for a manager. Is that really fair for a decent club like ours? I think not, so right that the club are taking time over the suitable candidate.

And for the record as I said on Monday, the last paragraph is not a direct reference to any individual in particular.

Standing in the way of control
You have to rely on people to not be tossers about how much they know, so it comes down to judge of character. I am always suspicious when people try and present things as fact when there clearly aren't many facts to be had in this situation. For some reason some peeps seem to have a real problem with admitting that they could be wrong.

Also, Naylor would be mad not to use NSC as a source.

Take no notice of the knockers Mr.Burns and don't let it put you off in the future.I enjoy your rumours, posts etc as they appear more reliable then most.

Probably as reliable as The Argus, in fairness.

This is good news. Paul Ince, as I've said countless times, is a regressive, unthoughtful manager with an ego the size of a planet. I'm glad he's not coming.

And all of those who boasted about how it was "official" that he would be definitely be our next manager, get some better sources next time.

...BUT the whole process was stalled to talk to someone, who, it transpires didn't even want to talk to us. Makes a bit of a farce of the whole process and slightly devalues the position IMHO

On what basis was the process stalled to accomodate him? How do you know that? If DK wants to interview further candidates, at anytime during the interview process, he can choose to do so. Doesn't equate to stalling what so ever. Besides, football managers are traditionally appointed in a couple of days. No wonder they're fired almost as quickly because this infers rushed decisions are poor ones in the l-t. Maybe DK's determined to get it right this time and this is taking the time?

I think Dwayne is referring to the announcement yesterday that the process was interrupted due to 'unforeseen circumstances' with one of the candidates. It appears Dwayne is assuming this candidate was Ince. (not, as it seems you took it to mean, that DK added ince to the list and so had to interview more people)

The club spoke to his advisor on Monday hence the reason DK was supposed to be travelling to see him, my info was that the meeting was confirmed at their end.

There are no 'idiots' I was merely passing on FACTS from a club source like I do from time to time.

If you want to own up to being an idiot, then that's up to you! I wouldn't be so harsh on yourself though - your posts, by the sound of it, were made in the last 48hrs. I'm talking about those who said Ince would be appointed the Monday after MA left. And continued to do so (on good grounds!) on Tues, Wed, Thurs.....etc.

2 weeks later, after offering a single candidate a job, it appears DK wanted to meet (not offer) Ince re: the job. Your source was spot on in that respect. Actually I now recall saying I believed you to be right (which you were) when you posted this y'day or the day before.
