The fella's done well for himself, he's worked hard, got himself a top job and been promoted to the most senior position. The work he's put in has paid dividends, he has a nice salary, a comfy lifestyle and can afford a £10K holiday with the missus. Something a lot of us aspire to, I keep trying, I ain't there yet, but maybe one day.

So you're suggesting that anyone, regardless of income, should be entitled to council housing ? Richard Branson, David Cameron, Alan Sugar, David Beckham ?

You believe he got his council house while on £145,000 a year?

A council can't move someone out just because their salary has gone up. Most would choose to - he has chosen not to. Though it's evident you're saying telling him how he should live his life and that he should, principally because market forces dictate that he should.

So you seriously think that someone earning £145k should be entitled to a council house ?

When He was given the keys to His council house he wasn't earning that sort of doe,He was an apprentice box boy on the Central line, are you suggesting some sort of salary cleansing?
Certain housing for certain salaries?
Let's go back to the Ghettos eh?

Im suggesting that everyone has the right to live where they choose and if any of the people you mention were to choose to apply to go onto a council housing list, i would expect their application to be treated in the same way as anyone elses on that list.

There are families on the breadline that are as good as homeless - are you suggesting that Crowe deserves to keep his council house over and above housing a family in B&B ?

Actually I think it would be a bloody good idea if people above a certain income were no longer entitled to council housing, but the fact is today there is no legislation that covers this. To accuse someone of corruption, in this instance is just a little shallow.

Do I think Bob Crowe is an irritating arse - hell yes, but then again he doesn't represent me, and therefore I have nothing to gain from his manoeuvring.

I do know that in the aftermath of that North Sea Oil helicopter crash last year, he was someone that was worth listening to and he had some very valid points to make about safety and risk.

And anyone on a £145k salary would get rejected ...... like Crowe should be.

So as has been pointed out, and you have failed to address; people on certain incomes should live in ceratin places?

No, people on certain incomes shouldn't receive government / council aid such as income support, child benefit and assistance with housing. I find it remarkable that in this day and age that some really believe council housing is OK yet child benefit is cut at £60k.

You do realise that council houses are rented at below the market value don't you ? Therefore Crowe is receiving a benefit by paying a lower rent that he would otherwise have to do so.
