Impending divorce

I am heading for a divorce.

I have resigned myself, very unwillingly i may add, to missing the first game due to Daughters wedding and then the next bombshell landed.

The bloody neice is getting married on the 27th, P'bro home.

"i'm not f***ing going" were the first words uttered, closely followed by my feeble and not meant attempt at justifying this by pointing out that it's not a proper wedding, there is no groom just two brides, read between the lines here.

I now stand accused of being a bigot and hating her family.

Happy days.

Is there no compromise to be found in any of it? Frankly being accused of being a bigot by your wife is pretty below the belt. I'd go just to spite her. SHould she wish to divorce you - she can instigate it and will have rather a good deal of trouble when she gets asked why.... Madam what are the grounds for your divorce? He wanted to go to the football...To leave you to go shopping and attend lovely weddings on your own with your friends and family whilst he was out of the way not bothering you etc, yes, well.....

Blimey, at this rate I'm going to end up with an empty seat next to me all season!

Is your daughter of the lipstick lesbian variety? If so I'll take the wedding snaps for free. I specialise in up-skirt shots.

It's the neice who is having a groomless wedding, Daughter is marrying a bloody Millwall fan.

Does life get any better?

If you refuse to go to your Niece's wedding because she's a lesbian, then yes, by definition, you're a bigot. However, you did say, "feeble and not meant", so I guess I'd concentrate on just how important the P'boro game result might be by the end of the season. Civil ceremonies are usually a lot of fun, I might add.

Also, if you can avoid it, I'd recommend against divorce, personally (cough). Stephen Grant's ex-wife Annelise Holland in legal bid to gag comic's gags about her | Mail Online

Tell them all (except your daughter) to do one, admit (even if you're not) to being a bigot and send the lezzers a pack of Trojans (addressed to "the sham lezzer marriage which goes against nature itself you dog-ugly bitches"), and revel in the freedom and less people to care about birthdays and anniversaries and all that bollocks. Sad you'll miss the opening day, but you'll walk in freedom. Welcome your fresh new life free of encumberment. :getdownandboogie:

The brownie points you get for going to both weddings will make up for the points well get in those two games.

You were only joking though right. Right? Assuming you were joking, look at the wife like she's an idiot, because you were joking. If you weren't joking, she has a point, you should be ashamed of yourself. Besides, I'd love to buy the tickets off you :)

You should have done what I did.

"You will not, I repeat, NOT get married on 6th Aug"

My daughter's getting married the week before.

Sorted.

Ev, they've been together for 12 years and had 3 kids, it never crossed my mind that they would decide to get hitched let alone choose this date.

So its your family that has caused all this taunting from every other club. And I always thought it was because of the Brighton reputation. Your family obviously doesn't deserve you. get out quick before you become tainted. ............ My daughters is on Sept 17, Leicester away. No loss there!
