Yep, I claim victory and the ignorant lefties have been routed, the truth has prevailed.

Its funny how you can really yank people along who have done no research into the topic they are debating.:lolol: :lolol:

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Its funny how you're always right. Good to see you've got another little flaming geek to briefly make you feel good about yourself.

Firstly get your facts right. The NHS was established on 05 July 1948 and the Empire Windrush landed at Tilbury on 22 June 1948. The Windrush was largly carrying West Indian ex-Service Men and is only a symbol of immigration rather than an indicator of mass migration which happened mainly during the 1950s and 60s.

When you have a better grasp of history I might be bothered to continue the debate.

Firstly try reading what I actually wrote stupid, it may have been established then but that is irrelevant, the requirement of labour relates to when it was actually built/created as I stated.

oh and it was 1958 for the first main wave of immigrants.

On 22 June 1958, the troop ship Empire Windrush arrived in England, bearing hundreds of Jamaican civilians. Until then, the only chance of travelling to Britain had been on a banana boat or passenger liner, but berths were always scarce. At last, for just £28.10, they could journey to their motherland and perhaps find a better life.

I may appear to be right most the time has nothing to do with my intelligence or Knowledge. It has to do with.........

1 Choosing carefully which arguements I get involved in.

2. Researching said arguement via independent as possible sources.

Thats STRATEGY, stupid.

From the same BBC site...

Introduction
The Empire Windrush's voyage from the Caribbean to Tilbury took place in 1948. Believe it or not, very few of the migrants intended to stay in Britain for more than a few years.

If it hadn't been for the Second World War, the Windrush and her passengers might not have made the voyage at all. During the war, thousands of Caribbean men and women had been recruited to serve in the armed forces.

When the Windrush stopped in Jamaica to pick up servicemen who were on leave from their units, many of their former comrades decided to make the trip in order to rejoin the RAF. More adventurous spirits, mostly young men, who had heard about the voyage and simply fancied coming to see England, 'the mother country', doubled their numbers.

'an important landmark in the history of modern Britain'
June 22nd 1948, the day that the Windrush discharged its passengers at Tilbury, has become an important landmark in the history of modern Britain; and the image of the Caribbeans filing off its gangplank has come to symbolise many of the changes which have taken place here. Caribbean migrants have become a vital part of British society and, in the process, transformed important aspects of British life

As for what you wrote...

"When the war ended Britain could not afford fancy scemes like the NHS which if memory seves me correctly began to be set up in the early 50's(51 to 55 I beleive). "

Short term memory loss is a terrible thing. Try cutting down on the ganja.

I see you didn't provide a link. Christ your an idiot, largescale immigration did not begin untill the late 50's. Do you think it was feasable when rationing of basic foodstuffs was going on. Once again you make dubious and outlandish claims.

I dont smoke weed anymore, well as rare as home wins.

This shows how little you know about the function of Government. When a party is elected they carry on with legislation that they have not specifically promised to revoke, even then it takes time to change course.

correct me if I am wrong here but the Tories have never said they would abolish the NHS since its establishment or legislated for it.

You're in favour of the NHS, state collectivised medicine then? Sake! How often do you "fall out" of you economic liberal persona, you PoMO goon? You're meant to say it's a corrupt, inefficient government bureaucracy that has to be broken up and replaced by private medical insurance providers.

Christ, I feel so sorry for you today I'm even writing your wind-up lines for you

Just because your on one end of the political spectrum who's limited knowledge of economics was gleened from the Guardian do not assume others are at the opposite end.

Its so LI to resort to crude steriotypes as a filler for ignorance.

Why not both? A market with a government underwriting costs for reasons of equity?

Damn your thinking is so 1970's.

Ha ha - even Cameron has dropped widespread marketisation of the NHS because he knows it makes any party unelectable - damn your thinking is so 1990s

Oh and unelectable is socialism, see Dear leader tony for details.

Looney, I shouldn't pay much attention to London Irish. Loves to slag people off, but ask him his view, and he can't reply. As I've said before probably looking for a friend to ask them what his views are. Doesn't seem to know himself. So I wouldn't bother getting into an argument with him because he when push comes to shove, he goes all quiet and hides in a corner.

All he's good for is calling people names, which sums up the idiot he is.

Now I really have heard it all, usually cited as the most opinionated member of NSC, you accuse LI of holding no views of his own. He is not the type to hide his light under a bushel either, so I'm not sure where you have got this opinion but your poor observation would account for some of your earlier ignorant and racist notions.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm standing up for LI as he certainly doesn't need me for that. It's just that some of the posts on this thread are hilarious and I can't help responding.

Enigma you are a racist. Refering to White People as quote "White Trash" is a racist comment. I've explained my comment regarding Asians, but I'm sure you wont let it go as you've not got much to hold onto.
