Cataclysmic? It’s a game of football
Give it a few more days and it will have become a holocaust.

Personally, I don't give a f***.

We are mid table in the EPL, have a brilliant owner, and are potentially wistful about not playing in Europe next season.
If the present manager turns out to be a dud, we will do what every other half decent club does.

At some point we have to experience our highest ever defeat since that other one.
Now we have experienced it.
I climbed out of the dumpster and dusted myself down days ago.
There was a bit of metaphorical dog shit behind my left ear, but a quick metaphorical shower and it was gone.

Some people seem a bit too fragile to follow a football team.

May I recommend the Church of England?
Everyone is nice, and you go home after the match comforted, and blessed.
Never disappointed, never humiliated and never despondent.

Having had the misfortune to be at the City Ground last Saturday I’m still trying to come to terms with why and how everything could go so disastrously wrong. Okay, there have rumblings of discontent in previous games about our inability to shut out games when we’re winning or being unable to overcome teams with ten men behind the ball. When that happened there would be a load of post match chuntering of ifs and maybes and move onto the next game.

So, last Saturday? Every man and his dog has pointed the finger at Hurzeler for his team selection and tactics. Most agree that we’d lost before kickoff. But this defeat was cataclysmic, recent drubbings being Villa (6-1) last season and Everton (5-1) the season before that. But then we had madcap Roberto in charge. He knew how to fire the team up. The perfect example being Arsenal away, less than a week after the Everton game. Arsenal, who were challenging for the League absolutely outplayed by our boys who won 3-0.

Can Hurzeler inject the same reaction for when we play Chelsea in the Cup? I sincerely hope he can. He has lost an awful lot of credit in the eyes of many fans after the Forest match, many want him gone. The question now is how has this affected team morale, are we going to get an Arsenal-like response or a ‘dead man walking’ Hyypia reaction to the infamous Millwall game? I will find out when I go on Saturday as I must be a glutton for punishment - again! Fear the worst, hope for the best - your typical football fan!

Work inbox filed up with various picture of Len Goodman and Brad Pitt Monday morning.

I reminded a fair few that it’s less embarrassing than claiming you support a team but have never been to a home game, dickheads

I see that plenty on here are trying to build pressure and make our next couple of matches “must win.”

Football rarely works like that, results may become worse before they get better.

The man in the dugout was selected by the club. Same as the players.

It’s an escape from real life we talk about it all week with mates, work mates family.
Admit it your week feels a little bit better when we win.

Not all players work out as expected not all managers work out as expected.
