Over there
Just got out from the premiere, Mr coogan came on stage and introduced the film and what a film. Brilliant performances, brilliant story and kept everybody laughing from start to finish. So many funny lines, it's difficult to remember them all but during the siege in the film Alan is promised the breakfast show slot because of his heroics he starts musing wether he should be called "the morning rooster or the talking cock" I have others but I won't spoil it for you. Partridge fans will lap it up,as it has all the favourite characters Lynn, Michael, Dave cliffton, but if you've never seen the t.v series their is more than enough to tickle your funny bone. In short, brilliant go see it

My friend pilotted the helicopter Alan Partridge turned up in! He said Alan was wearing a pastel blue safari suit.... nice. Alan had a great line for him when he said his helicopter looked like it was "basically two sycamore leaves tied to a daddy longlegs"... brilliant!!

Wow, incredibly jealous. Sounds like you enjoyed it too, which bodes well.

I'm abroad so don't know when I can see it.

I'm sorry but what is the obsession with him? I just don't find him funny at all, and his new film looks totally and utterly shit. Even Odeon have a feeling it will pan when it is released, especially it being released in the middle of the School Holidays.

It's ironic that, as the Spanish points out, you are a big fan of Basil Fawlty but don't find AP funny at all. Very very similar characters. Classic British comedy anti hero. AP has been far more fleshed out than Basil over the years though and has continued to be ten on ten.
