Excellent. I was there five months ago, I think courtesy of your recommendation. Get involved with the Timorasso, and they also had a bargain-priced Isole e Olena Chianti.

Noted. Just arrived and having a cheeky afternoon drink before a snooze and a restaurant. We will come back tomorrow night though.

A couple of Inch’s cider (not as good as Dickins cider), and a Chicken Arrabiata. And I got the Wendies score right at 15/2

I’ve laid down my tools and retired to the sofa. Beer, crisps, the new Public Service Broadcasting album playing.

Have a good one my friends.

Do you travel to games on the day of the game ?
I used to, travelled on the morning and flew back early Sunday; an ongoing health issue makes travel difficult at the moment so I’m not going.

A mate is at the Union game tonight. He sent me this, along with the message “a pint of Glûhwein it is then”. :lolol:

Date night tonight for the first time in what feels like ages. At least two bottles of the cheapest red on the menu. Never let it be said I don't know how to treat someone.
What you having with your red wine?

Quaffing a bottle of French fizz tonight...a Crémant D'Alsace for starters and then moving on to a fine Madeira as an early warm up for the coming festive season...have a safe and happy Fridat you lovely N.S.C.ers..
I bloody love Alsace wines. Driven it several times and filled up the motor. It’s by no means the sexy region of French or European wines, but the quality, the commitment and heart of their wine makers, the richness, the intensity, the feel of the flavour, it is just brilliant. l think they call it ‘terroir’. Enjoy the Crémant.

My absolute favourite is Henri Martischang from Pfaffenheim, but bless him the old boy has passed away now. But the intensity and character of their wines is just brilliant.

I definitely agree, I have had some cracking wine from Alsace...very much under the radar, heading out there later this month and will be sampling and stock
