Dahoud is definitely his recommendation as he wanted to sign him at Sassuolo. RDZ has bought in completely to the Albion recruitment model, even to the extent of letting his 'head of recruitment', Salvatore Monaco, that he bought in with him, go back to another team in Italy. He has been a coach in Europe for 10 years now so we really shouldn't be surprised if the Albion recruitment model comes up with players he has knowledge of, like Dahoud.
I'd be genuinely interested to know where this 'he wanted a striker that the recruitment team didn't' as since TB has taken over that sort of information hasn't come out of the club at all despite all the 'contacts' that various members of NSC have.
