You're entitled to your opinion about the Tories, but what I don't get is why people don't associate any of those things with the Labour government we had for the past decade. They had 13 years to help the working man but all their social engineering acheived was to create a state dependant underclass - the non-working man.
People with socialist views should not be voting for New Labour.
I am a socialist and my view is this:
I despise Tony Blair and new labour for all they've done to steal a party that used to understand and stand up for working people, and replace it with a machine that is dedicated to get power hungry people elected. How could I ever in all conscience vote for that.
I hate the Tories with a gut level conviction that comes from 53 years of watching their self serving greed and lack of concern for anyone but them and their own. I do however recogise that they serve their natural voters with a determination that labour voters could only ever have dreamt of.
I cannot trust a Lib Dem party that at the first scent of power will forget all their election promises about how to manage cuts and betray their voters in order to play at being cabinet ministers for a few years. Cant say I'm surprised though. I've always had a saying, from when i was in the Labour party and saw liberals in both parties up close; "scratch a liberal, find a tory". I thank them for proving me right.
I do however believe that voting is important and therefore vote for parties i know have no chance of getting elected, but at least say the right things, even if theyll never get to carry them out.
