Joke club, joke team, joke fans.

They'll get a joke manager. So yes, Redknapp will be perfect for them.

He gets his team into the top areas of the Prem, then strangely they start losing bizarre games in the second half of the season - just winning enough to stay mid-table. Dodgy, but then it's only the bookies he's spanking so ....he's alright. Unless you are a fan of a team he's managing.

Would love it if he did, but he's got a base in the south and after previously bogging off to Saints, he'd have to have big balls to tuck up Pompey again. Did love his comment yesterday "I recently had an offer from a massive club which I turned down." Nice for the pompey fans to realise that even their manager sees them as a tinpot outfit.

I wish we were as tinpot as Pompey.

Lippi? Hiddink? Klinsmann?

What a joke.

Newcastle are not a big European club and whoever takes it is on to a hiding to nothing.

I hope they get Keegan back and get relegated...

And leave in their THOUSANDS after about 20 minutes of a home game earlier in the season?

And as for their away support BIG deal they took something like 5,000 to Blackburn. Average home gate? Around 50,000. So they took TEN per cent to an away game. That is like us taking 450 and being CONGRATULATED by everyone for doing so.

GREAT fans who dish out abuse to any manager who isn't a geordie and who tries to sort out the long-term problems rather than carry out a quick-fix?

They had 6500 at the recent away game with Fulham I went to. Never stopped singing.

Population of Newcastle is 186,863. You work that one out then.

What about the times when they were not in the Premiership and averaging 15000 not so loyal then. Newcastle are not a big clubbut do have good support who ever they get it will be a joke the fans simply do not have realistic views and a bit like a spoilt child want it now.

They might as well appoint Mickey Mouse he'll be out but the summer anyway.

A trip to the bright lights of London is a big draw for Northerners...

carrying on from that and going on a completely worthless tangent did you know that if you divide the amount of teams a city has into their population you find that londoners are the worst football supporters in terms of attending and Newcastle fans are the best.

what does that prove............... f*** all probably.

We averaged 25 k over a 3 year period at the end of the seventies. Means nothing now. I am talking of the present not the past. Charlton once got 80k for a couple of matches many moons ago.................... proving ?
