Somebody I know was talking to their friend who heard from his cousin who knows somebody who works for Network Rail and he said that Micky Adams had bought a cheap day return to Newcastle....my money's on him.

He's likely to be an absolutely shit appointment because that's the Newcastle way - not that it ever prevents the barcode fans turning up every week these days, like LEMMINGS.

So that said, it'll be Little Sam, Steve McClaren or Alan Shearer

On the shit appointments line, can the Toon look beyond the dream team of the Wilkins brothers?

Houllier would be a good appointment for them, though I'd love Redknapp to get it, just to laugh it him when he fucks it up.

I don't understand why Redknapp would want to leave high flying Pompey to join guaranteed underchievers Newcastle

.......unless they offer him a truckload of cash

Personally I'd go for grinning darts legend Moody ("Moody! Moody! Moody!") then on the rare occasions that Newcastle do score St James Park can reverberate to the sound of "WAAASSSSUUUPPPP!" Failing that I'd go for Wolfie, although he'd need a bit of restyling - the beard needs to go, as do those awful 1980s gold rimmed glasses.

Would love it if he did, but he's got a base in the south and after previously bogging off to Saints, he'd have to have big balls to tuck up Pompey again. Did love his comment yesterday "I recently had an offer from a massive club which I turned down." Nice for the pompey fans to realise that even their manager sees them as a tinpot outfit.

I can't believe some of the barcodes are calling for the return of Kevin Keegan.

Kevin Keegan.... That would be so funny. His odds have come down with some of the bookies too.

Why would Redknapp go there? His house is in one of the most desirable and expensive real estate belts, his son lives just down the road and he already haas a truck load of cash.

That and he lives within reach of a quick getaway should anymore "spurious" allegations against him...

My guesses, in this order, are:

Klinsmann
Houllier and Shearer (like that idea)
Redknapp and T. Adams
Hughes
Shearer + D.of F
Hiddink
Lippi
Ranieri
